Disappointed
I was told to get this app by the clinician at the Integrated Response Hub to help with the insomnia associated with my ME/CFS, only to discover it isn’t available in my area and I can’t use it. I was so looking forward to actually learning how to get some quality sleep at night 🙁
Not available
It would be useful if this company could state upfront it isn’t available in England rather than asking me to create an NHS account and set up a log in. I wasted a fair amount of time doing this. Perhaps this is deliberate to encourage people to badger their local health services to provide this.
Decent results, app could use improvement
The videos and interactive sessions are good, and it’s nice to see how it guides you through sleep improvement. However the app does have some friction that would be nice to improve.
It does not pull sleep data from Apple Health, but rather relies on a bespoke integration with Fitbit. If you have any other brand of tracker (Apple, Garmin, Whoop, whatever) you have to manually enter the diary each day. A better experience would be for it to pull sleep data from Apple.
Second is that the app seems to be a wrapper around their web site. If your signal is a bit bad, you just get an error screen. No content, can’t see your diary, nothing. Better offline support would be useful.

Can’t make an account
I have no idea if this will work. I can’t even create an account. There’s no “register” button as far as I can see.
Not too bad
Doesn’t allow me to connect to my Apple Watch, just lets me connect Fitbit but I don’t have one. Google says it should connect but it doesn’t give me the Apple Watch option
Newbie
Just started. I don't believe this will work on me but my real problem is having to login every time I access the app. I'm not sure how long I will last because of that. The other thing is I can't lock my screen when I listen to the meditations. Like what's the point even. The app tells me to make my bedroom dark and then the screen is beaming crazy.

Avoid!
I tried logging in with my NHS account as suggested and tried setting up a new account but nothing worked. Seems like a very doggy app to steal all your data
A bit buggy…
I have been dying this app for three weeks now and have found it to be be a little annoying, in that there are often many delays in loading pages with the circle going round and round. Sometimes it logs me out unexpectedly and I like to stay logged in, but when I try to log in, it doesn’t load, so I have to return hours later. It also told me my sleep had improved during one week, when it had got worse and I had some very bad nights. I’ve decided not to follow the schedule it recommends just yet, as I’m going through a decent period of sleep right now and making the and it would be detrimental to my health if I followed it, though I will attempt the schedule if I start going downhill again. I’ve been entering my times on the diary which show I’m not following the schedule, but the app doesn’t realise this.
I think the tips are good and the videos and I’m sure the schedules work, but the app itself needs refining so it’s less buggy here and there.

Can’t even sign up
This programme is not available on the NHS in England but I’m happy to pay if helps me sleep better but I can’t even sign up for it???
Game changing!
I really struggled with sleep and thought there wasn’t a solution except for sleeping pills. Sleepio proved there is, it’s easy to use, very supportive and had me sleeping through the nights in a few weeks. Thank you!!!!!!
Useless
It’s like watching an infomercial. One read on Wikipedia on sleep would be quicker and more productive. App itself is USELESS if you have trouble sleeping, you’re only able to put in one sleep period a day, so if you have a 3h “nap” it doesn’t count. This is some serious money laundering going on here on gov level. People, get yourself a cheapest Fitbit and you’ll be better off.

Highly recommend
I was despairing about my poor sleep and felt the irregular sleep was affecting my overall health. I came across this app, available through NHS Highlands. It has been fantastic. I enjoyed the well presented background reading and all the support options. All very accessible, straightforward and never too much all at once. I progressed through the programme and my sleep has improved beyond my hopes. I am sleeping better, with more regular times and feel more in charge of myself and my sleep. I enjoyed and learned from the information, I appreciate the daily tips and I particularly like the sleep diary as it is so easy to complete on the app. I like the feedback through the weekly review as well. I recommend this app very highly. It’s so manageable and doable. I feel so much better all round! Give it a go and see what you feel:)

It helps
It totally changes your perspective on your relationship with sleep and I never thought I’d be getting a full nights sleep after 14 years of poor sleep
Crashing
I have been trying to use this app for about a month but can’t get past session 1. The app constantly crashes and doesn’t save what I have already completed
Changed my life
I am in the US and started using Sleepio in September, 2017, when I was 63 years old. I had suffered from insomnia for many decades, and was using Ativan, a benzodiazepine, for about 10 years. My doctor said it was safe and non habit forming, and that she used it herself. When I retired and moved to a new state, my new doctor said I should get off of that pill because it’s more dangerous the older you get. Around the same time, I saw a brief mention about Sleepio in a magazine. I went through the entire program over several months, and soon after, I was completely off of Ativan. I gradually reduced my dosage over several months, and now only use it during international travel with significant time differences. I don’t know if the program is different now, but I found the Community interaction to be crucial for success. Most of the members were from the UK, so it didn’t seem to be used in the US very much. I highly recommend this program. In the UK, it’s covered by the National Health Service. I don’t know if insurance covers it yet in the US. I didn’t pay anything, because I think it may have still been in a testing mode. But it absolutely worked for me. Like other programs (losing weight, getting off drugs or cigarettes, etc) you have to be determined and motivated, and trust the process. Interacting with the community within the app is also key. Best of luck in your journey to better sleep, AuntieHoho.

Apparently available on the NHS, but you can’t log in
Don’t bother with this app. I’ve been on to customer services 3 times, still can’t log in with NHS login…. This is not good for ANYONE that is stressed, waste of time
Really poor UX
Firstly, the app forces you to log in daily.
And secondly, every click takes the app 5-10 seconds to load (I’d guess it’s fully online only and everything is a new web request with no caching).
This combines to make the app frustratingly slow and painful to use.
I can’t comment on the content, I didn’t make it past week 1.

Sign-up problem
I cannot review the app as I cannot find out how to access it. The opening page asks you to log in, but I can’t find how to initially set up an account. I live in Scotland and should get the app free on the NHS.
Great program, poor app, zero support
The program itself is great, and helped me get my sleep back on track, which has been terrible for years. However, having completed the program, I want to keep using the app to track my sleep, to stay on top of it. The app continually asks each week if I want to change my sleep schedule, and there is no option to make it shorter, only longer. I’d like an option to no longer prompt me to change it, once I’ve found a good set of times. I would also like to start over right now, because I had a recent set back, but there’s no option for that either. But the worst thing is that up until about 1 month ago, it remembered my NHS login, now it forgets every day, and insists on a new login. I tried 3 times to contact support, but have had zero response, not even a “Thank you for your email”. Extremely poor. I give the program 5 stars, the app 3, but support 0.
Update: thanks for your response but I work in the NHS and they don’t make me re-authenticate every day, maybe once per month. And your app was working Ok, until it changed to insisting on daily login only recently.
Also, I tried all the email addresses you said, but no responses, automated or otherwise from any of them.
If you can contact me directly or somehow get someone from support to do that, it would be appreciated.

Didn’t help at all
Everything revolves around not getting to sleep. I fall asleep just fine. My problem is waking up in the middle of the night. That isn’t addressed in a practical way. The only suggestion offered was to stay up later! This made no difference at all.
