Don’t Recommend - Not What It Could Be
I got this ages ago because I really loved (and still love) their Forest app. Since then, I’ve tried over and over to make it work, but I just can’t. It hasn’t had a News update thing since 2020 (and that was for Android users), and I think this app has largely fallen off their radar.
Primarily, this is because the app just doesn’t work if you have a sleep schedule that varies by the day. Sometimes I get home from work at 11pm so I can’t go to bed at 10:30pm. They don’t let you change the sleep schedule overall or choose more than two days off. My workaround has been to change the bedtime and wake up goal each time I need to go to sleep (since they also don’t let you sleep before 2 hours before your bedtime goal). The app also doesn’t let you go to sleep at anytime PAST your bedtime, even by a minute. It’s genuinely insane. The same workaround I mentioned earlier works for me, but it would be nice to have a way to have multiple “sleep schedules” or have a grace period that the user could choose around the sleep / wake up time.
Seemingly you can’t also can’t demolish buildings without losing the sleep data… why?? I mainly got the app so I would record sleep data, so I’m not super happy about having to keep demolished buildings (as, in my opinion, it’s also too expensive to demolish them anyway).
I’d love for this to be more like Forest, where you can filter the plants you see by day/week/month/year and there could even be a lifetime option. I don’t want to be forced to see my demolished buildings from 5 months ago when I (heaven forbid) woke up too early because I had work I needed to do. It shows the week on the default page, but I think the options for the time span would be nice to see in the The Big Town tab! I’d also love to see a stopwatch option for sleeping, similar to how forest has a stopwatch for studying. Sometimes, I want the data, even if I didn’t have perfect sleep times!!
Finally (and this is also an issue in Forest) the app just logs you out mistakenly a lot. Right now, it has my account in Settings but “Please sign in first.” on the Achievements page. I don’t personally mind it that much, but it’s just a bit annoying that the two pages are contradicting each other.

Good app for tracking sleep schedule
More useful for the people to track sleep timings
Great
great for creating the habit of sleeping and waking up early based on visual rewards (buildings). the interface is really good, but I think we should be able to also edit the streets in our town.
Good app!
Very cute design! It’s really preventing you from using your phone at night in the strict mode. Could be a little frustrating when you failed to get up on time and the building is ruined, but you can always restart the streak and set the time that works for you.

1st night went great! I should add the app to my tablet, too; I was up later than the alarm, so got less sleep but woke up on time still. With time I’m sure to fix my sleep schedule!
Excellent

Gets you to put your phone down
If you need motivation to put the phone down at night and wake up on time in the morning, this is a nice little aid. It won’t make you sleep — only you can do that — but if you want to see a cute little building built overnight, it’ll remove one major obstacle: futzing with your phone. You choose the sleep and wake times *before* you’re in a spiral of doomscrolling. So far, wanting to see a building built has been pretty good motivation. Have I already found some “loopholes” to my own detriment? Sure. But that’s not the app’s fault. It has helped me start to shift a long engrained habit that I was too stuck to undo without this little app. I hope to break the habit and establish new sleep habits before the app loses its appeal (which I’m guessing it will at some point, but maybe I’m wrong and it will keep surprising me and help me stick to bedtime). The basics of the user interface are intuitive and easy to use. I haven’t done a deep dive into selecting buildings or creating new towns, figuring out the coin system, etc. That part is less intuitive and isn’t explained — I’ve just been clicking around. But my goal is not to play with it too much (and thereby add another phone distraction), but to use the element of surprise as a motivation to get off the phone. Waking up to a cute little ramen restaurant on my screen was very satisfying and keeps me waiting for more creative builds.
