Abominably Horrible
The app hangs up from the start. IF it connects, it drops quickly. The concept of the app is ok, but the execution is abominable. Waste of time. I would give it minus stars if possible.
Works. Not.
Open the app. Bluetooth is connected on my phone. App proceeds to hang with circle of death continuously spinning. Maybe hire yourselves a better developer?

Will not connect, absolutely useless! HJC and Sena should be ashamed of this app.
Very disappointed
Bought this helmet and HJC “Smart” headset a couple years ago. Worked fine at first then this riding season I go to use it and it won’t pair with my phone. I downloaded the Sena device manager on my pc and tried to do a firmware update but the device manager won’t recognize my device. $500 helmet and $300 headset are now useless. I’ll never buy another Sena device ever again. So frustrated, there’s no support online only info I can find is on Reddit and after and hour of trying it’s still useless. If I could give negative stats I would.

How to get your device to pair iphone and others
Ok all heres how to get it to go alot of trial and error but i got it Hold center button 12 seconds goes into configuration menu Volume down button until you here the media selective pairing then go to your bluetooth and it will show select that and it will pair for pandora and such others … now lets get you to pair to your phone again configuration menu …. Now volume down button until phone selective pairing option again go to bluetooth and select your device smarthjcbt or sena both the same. And it will pair your phone. Hope this helps everyone out because support wasnt helpful

doesn’t work at all.
i open the app, my headset is connected to my phone, and the app just loads. a spinning circle forever.
Poor connection, poor control
Struggles with connecting to a headset when it’s literally next to the phone. Poor control of sound stage, poor access to support and not the greatest of GUI.
Updated app works better!!!
I am enjoying this new updated app a lot better. Much more user friendly and very clean. It really lets me customize the Bluetooth unit without having to do it on the actual unit.
Why so much access to phone?
Asks for way too much access to the phone when all it needs is BT so it can connect to the headset? Anything beyond that should be optional not mandatory to use the app. Privacy not something these guys ‘get’…
