The device attaches to the user's key chain then is paired with the smartphone . The range that the user then sets the range on the device that he or she would like to safely gravitate away from their phone 5 , 10 , 15 meters in the event that they inadvertently leave behind their smartphone or keys . Once the set distance has been surpassed a notification alarm will sound alerting the user that they have left behind their smartphone or keys .
