I was after a notes app to sit in my Mac’s menu bar and found this. It turns out it’s great on iPhone as well. It fills a niche for me - true ‘notes’ rather than long form. This doesn’t try to be everything but is a good complement to other apps and means I can clear clutter elsewhere. Wish it had a lifetime purchase option but the sub is very reasonable.

Tried many. This is a standout for syncing watch, iPhone and MacBook. Customer service is generous and fast. Worth every penny and then some.

Ich nutze SnipNotes schon seit mehreren Jahren und bin sehr zufrieden. Ein Programm, das sich entwickelt und viele Möglichkeiten bietet. Auch der Support läßt für mich keine Wünsche offen. Gerne zahle ich für upgrade‘s und spende immer wieder auch in die Kaffeekasse. Zum einen, weil ich die app gut finde, und zum anderen, weil ich hoffe, dass der Programmierer auch weiterhin von den überteuerten Abos Abstand hält. Ich hätte aber nichts gegen ein jährliches Abo unter zehn Euro. Da gibt es unter den Anbietern wirklich gute Beispiele (z.B. ProCamera, Bergfex Touren…). Jetzt will ich aber gleich mal zur Kaffeekasse.

Incredible app!
I just discovered it May 7, 2026. I’ve been looking for an app that did what this one does. I want an Apple Watch app easy to use. I’ve tried several. I bought several thinking they were the one. And now that I’ve been through every single note on their website, I discovered this is the app I should’ve just started with. Not only use a great app. The pricing is reasonable. Super Helpful for my A.D.D. brain
It’s been the app I’ve needed… there’s more I could do with it I’m sure but just the basics have been helping a great deal, quick access and all that on all devices - most recently my Apple Watch. I had trouble getting the Watch app, wrote to them, they helped me resolve it ASAP. Good stuff all around.

Getting even better! Now has tags! Great app, great developer (fast response and work with the issues). Finally! Attach documents! Now I may bump another app to keep this! May have to wait to purchase the addon (Plus more than 3 months old ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) But it’s great to know that’s a function that have been requested some time ago! Keep it up!

This app gives the best options for watch snippets so far! Sync works like a charm. Formatting on the watch works! If only there was an easy way to load stuff from Windows! ( a web app) it would be 100%

(1/18/26) I acquired SnipNotes early on and it looked like a decent development, lacking just a bit in functionality for my purposes, but a solid start. I poked around in it for a bit and liked what I saw, but it just wasn’t quite ready for my primetime. I’ve been checking back periodically for ongoing development and I think we may have reached a sweet-spot. I’m going to fully engage it in my work flows this year and see how it goes. Some stellar points to consider are: 1. NO SUBSCRIPTION. 2. No subscription. (Which accounts, a lot, toward good quality and ongoing development. Antithetical what the subscription model would have consumers believe.) 3. An ever-improving balance between complexity and simplicity which, I’m sure, is a huge challenge. On these issues I would easily give this developer 5 stars, but I want some real-world traction before I give it that rating. Already on my wish list is the ability to float select notes above other windows for quick/easy access to realtime note taking. Kudos to this developer for this fabulous effort, please keep up the good work.

Simple to use, full featured, expands the clipboard with history and iCloud sync, many options, and very reasonable price
I use it almost every day!
I frequently have to copy and paste various items for various reasons. It’s fantastic how many options SnipNotes has, while remaining easy on the eyes. I don’t use the native Notes app. With so many sticky note and note taking/collecting apps out there, the fact that I found The One says a lot. I haven’t paid one red cent nor had to view a single ad. Thank you to the Developers!

Great App
Snipnotes is a delight to use; esthetically pleasing, simple and straightforward. It has become my go to note taker. I can collect all of those random thougHts in a convenient place. Very highly recommended!
