This app is (at its base level) free. With the free plan, you can block two apps at a time, and you get one pre-set hour of focus time a day (where you cannot unlock apps blocked by Snitch at all). It works amazingly well, and is definitely usable on your own, but is definitely built for pairs or groups. There are no cash-grabs or annoying ads. This app was built by a group of people with the same problem as you, and with a solution that works! I highly recommend.

I have a few friends on this app and it helped us all reduce our screen times! It ends up being more work and more embarrassing to notify all your friends that you’re using your screen time just to doomscroll. It’s an amazing app for students

I have been looking for an app to limit my screen time and I love this one. I use it with my boyfriend and it really has been working. I would recommend giving it a try. There is a free version in the app and that’s what I use.
