App has potential but is lacking
The app has potential to be great but, the scoring system for borrowers is lacking and it doesn’t teach any values. People with multiple loans paid late have high scores. If you use SLP as a lender then you automatically lose money. It does nothing to encourage payment on time. Skip this app if you’re looking to make some extra money lending. Just trade stock the odds are better.

Easy & My Newfound Favorite!
I had no idea something like this even existed. I think this idea was just amazing and whoever came up with it…great job! The process was incredibly simple, and before I knew it, my loan had been funded.
The fact that it’s interest-free makes it even more amazing. If you need financial help quickly, I definitely recommend checking it out. I’ll be sharing this with everyone I know…whether they’re looking to borrow money or are interested in helping fund someone else’s loan.

Worst app ever
I went to this app to take out money. I clicked on an offer, but it said I was too late. Then the app froze and I continue to click on the app. Nothing happened so I tried swiping up. Still nothing happened. I turn my phone off and then back on and had a message from my bank account saying money was withdrawn from my bank account and that I had just funded someone else a loan. I absolutely never agreed to this. This is theft in my opinion. Then the person to whom the SoLo app gave my money to never paid it back. I filled out a police report and a complaint to multiple agencies. I lost $650 on this app and they cannot prove that I ever agreed to lend a complete stranger money.

Very unique idea
I really like the idea of this app! There are helpful people all throughout this app and I think it’s great for all of us.
Overdue loans
The app works great, however, they should allow u to see how many days late the person was with their payment from their last transaction instead of just telling you that they paid late on whatever date. I originally wrote this review 2 months ago and no response to it. Bringing this down to one star. I feel that if the person doesn’t pay it should automatically take it out of their account if that’s what it’s linked to instead of going through all of these other channels all of my loans are now 40+ days late

Lender Concerns
While I started with a positive outlook on this platform, the fee structure regarding defaults is frustrating. Taking a 30% fee on recovered funds after a 35-day default period places the burden of collection costs onto the lenders. These fees should come from the borrower, not the lender's recovery. When you effectively punish the lenders powering the platform for borrowers inability to repay within the 35 day window, it makes me wonder if lending is actually going to be worth it in the long run.

Truth
Despite there being a few people on here that will pay back their loans. I’ve had five people back to back, not pay theirs. I’ve lost a total of $200+z Contacted customer service and was only issued credits that could be applied to other loans. You can’t withdraw the credits. So if no one pays the loans you use the credits on you get stuck in a loop. you’ll never get your money back. Terrible app.

Loan payments
Every time I try and pay my loan it won’t go throw and it wants to charge me a late fee so got to get that right

YOU WILL EVENTUALLY LOSE YOUR MONEY RIGHT FROM THE START! THEY DONT GIVE LATE FEES TO BORROWER FOR A LENDER TO MAKE, AND THEY WILL DEDUCT CHARGES TO YOUR CAPITAL, SO IN ALL, THEY WILL GET YOUR MONEY SLOWLY AND THE APP IS THE ONE MAKING ALL THE MONEY AND YOU’LL BE JUST SOMEONE THEY USED TO MAKE PROFIT!!

Scam for lenders
I have funded 8 loans now. 3 never paid me back. What does solo do when this happens? Tells you that your are SOL.
They say they are going to get you you're money back but never do. Instead your just out the $100 with no chance to ever get it back.

U need higher points
Points matter when you ask for a loan they categorize them by points lower your points mean nobody is gonna see it. Need gas to get to work for the rest of this week been trying since 3 or 4 days just waste of space on your phone
Still Waiting
Funded 1 loan for $100 that is now 11 days past due. Whenever I’ve reach out to Customer Support, the app crashes. So I’ve asked them to email me instead. Which they do, to tell me that I need to speak to the Recovery Department, which has no way of being contacted directly. And as a cherry on top, if the loan is repaid in the next 19 days, I’m then penalized 12% of the money I LOANED TO SOMEONE ELSE. And the borrower is penalized NOTHING AND GETS TO CONTINUE USING THE APP! And if it’s paid after 19 days, they penalize ME, THE LENDER, 35%! If you’re thinking about lending on this app, read the details first. They’re scattered out in different places through the app. Some, you won’t know about until you receive your copy of the contract that you already agreed to. And whatever SoLo employee keeps making the clusters of short, 5 star reviews with no details, lay off already.

Hey lenders please don’t fund anyone because when they don’t pay solo has no recovery that works to your advantage, after 20 days they take 35% with or without your approval for their customers not pay BAD INVESTMENT
