App keeps crashing
Logs me out and then crashes. Can’t get logged back in.

Amazing app—when it works
It’s been a loooong time since I’ve been employed by corporate America and I was pleasantly surprised to find that this one tool used to promote health amongst the workforce was actually…cool? (Albeit in a dorky way)
Unfortunately it freezes or otherwise acts up on the regular, or rather the irregular, as I there is no rhyme nor reason as to what precipitates the malfunction. But logging back on is cumbersome, often taking several tries, and there is no indication what may not have been recorded pre-crash.
So basically a big YES plus a pretty big BUT. Fix the wonky acting up and you’ve got an evangelist. I mean, between this and Oura, my numbers have demonstrably improved, which is the goal!

I would never use this app if it wasn’t the official fitness app for the company.

Needs improvement for trackers
I can’t edit/remove my old tracker. Support says click gear associated with tracker, there is no gear icon with tracker. Tried to add my new Oura Ring to override my old Apple Watch, but Oura isn’t supported yet, so that’s a bust too.
Is this really needed?
I have a reliable Apple Watch and IPhone. I wear a Garmin watch when I train. All that is fine and good. For some reason half the time, I can’t bring up my previous day’s stats. (Though it’s obvious in the Apple Watch ap what I do daily.) I don’t see where this app, extra data collection, not always current or quantitative, is needed with the Sonic Boom program.

App requires you open to open it daily if you want credit
You have to open the app daily to get your data to show up on the leaderboards. Which is interesting because the app seems to retroactively grab and apply your data to your personal charts, just not the leaderboards.
So it seems this is an issue with how this was built or potential a product direction issue. Maybe it’s an intentional decision to drive up DAU’s.
At the end of the day is just creates a pretty poor use experience if you don’t build a habit of opening the app everyday.

Way too much messing around
My company moved to this from Virgin Pulse and it’s awful. You get way less rewards from having a fitness tracker synced and performing actual exercise than you from checking boxes, putting in dates etc. I’d take Virgin Pulse back in a heartbeat, I can’t even be bothered jumping through the hoops this app requires.

Poorly Designed and Non-Functional
Apple watch and Fitbit both have built in capabilities better than this app. It’s only purpose is to sync health data back to employers and it can’t even do that right. Junk app that doesn’t belong on the app store.
Terrible
My Job uses this and it’s absolutely horrible. Doesn’t track or sync like it’s suppose to. We miss contest and other activities. Bring back Virgin

Love this app! Keeps me motivated to hit my steps every day and is a great way to connect with my coworkers. Really enjoy it and how dedicated they are to constant improvements.
Doesn’t sync
Had an old Fitbit Versa worked great. Got a new Apple Watch now it doesn’t sync reliably. Has made me not interested in participating in any SB things my company wants to promote.
Glitchy
The new update does not allow the Sonic boom app to get any data from Apple health. Did you guys stop supporting iOS devices? What was the point of the update?

Monthly it seems like it had issues with syncing. And monthly I email them. I remove the app add it back which works but then it works for a few weeks and once again same issue. And I am using a Fitbit. Yesterday I racked up 23k steps, burn guess what . SB gave me credit for 11k. I rebooted still sane mess. Resynced FitBit and still same. I have recommended our company look at other options

App NEVER syncs with iOS!
I can’t meet any of my Steps or Contest goals because this app doesn’t sync with my Apple Watch 6. It never has and that’s very disappointing.
Not syncing
Recent update doesn’t let me sync up. Even before the recent update I always had to log out and in again in order for the app update my daily steps. Now it won’t sync at all. I’ve deleting and reinstalling but it doesn’t do anything. Please fix it soon.
No support for Apple Watch
This won’t sync with my Apple Watch. Says it’s linked but I have zero steps for the last month. I go to work so I at least have to walk to the bathroom so I should have something and it shows nothing. I’ve updated my phone and the app and still nothing.
Love the updates!
The team at Sonic Boom seems to be constantly updating the app to make things better. Even when there is a bug, they are super responsive and really listen to the feedback. I think it’s great for my organization and a fun way to connect with colleagues all over the country.
