Cannot add bumped ticket
I was bumped to a much later flight due to overbooking - which seems to be a regular thing with SAA. I cannot load my new e-ticket onto the app - the number is 1 character longer than the space allowed for it. Also the app doesn't automatically update with my new flight. So no way of knowing if they're moving departure gates - also a regular thing - except by watching the wallboards.

Literally can't even register because according to this very poorly coded tender job that was probably awarded to a sly comrade, my "ID and birth date don't match". Don't bother downloading.

The app needs some serious rework. I can check in on it even if there is a “manage booking” function - which is mainly to sell more add-ons than actual customer service. The flight tracking doesn’t work, whether searching by city or flight number. Very disappointing!!

I checked in via the web, app doesn’t recognized I’m checked in. Can’t get my boarding pass.

App would be great if credit card details could be saved - quite a hassle manually typing the details in for every booking
Total scam
If SAA paid a lot for this app, they have been scammed. This is just a container of web pages, not an app. If fact, if you try (just one example) to check your flight status it opens the webpage within the app and obviously doesn’t know who you are or what your flight is, if it was a real app, it would be integrated. And by the way, that page doesn’t even work. terrible

Seamless experience
Excellent Revamped App
Quite happy with the new app especially since it gives a better experience from the older version , a few notes would be the manage trip section which takes you to a built in web page which should be within the app and not a url extension, the voyagers card I’m happy with being in the new app but one suggestion would be to allow the digital card to be saved in the Apple wallet , other than that an amazing app that just needs that extra love and attention <3
