I took the paid version of this app and it’s helping me a lot

I really like the way it is structured and lessons. One thing that can be improved is the AI feedback, ai feedback on a recorded voice is really slow. Sometimes I have to try multiple times, it would be really helpful if it faster or can give an estimate on the time it will take to summarise the voice.

Response from developer

Hi there, thank you so much for the thoughtful review! We're really glad to hear the structure and lessons have been helping you. We also appreciate your feedback about AI feedback taking too long. That's great input that I’ll share with my team. If you have any other ideas or suggestions, we'd love to hear them at info@speeko.co. Cheers! -Nico

They trick you and you cannot cancel the subscription

Not useful

Charged on Day One

Be careful I signed up for the free trial and was charged 24.99 the same day I immediately requested a refund through Apple, but it was denied very frustrating experience and not what I expected from a free trial watch their subscriptions closely.

False free trial

I’ve subscribed for one week free trial but got charged for one month and they did not reimburse.

Wonderful

I really like this app. I try to do 2 minutes on a random prompt every day. The convo section is also great.

One minor feature I wish was there: in addition to the option of manually adding prompts to the interview setting, I wish we could do like a 5 or 10-question random shuffle, much like a real interview would be, where the interviewee is forced to be fast on his feet for a series of questions.

**only 6-Day free trial, not 7-day** Make sure to cancel on the day that you subscribe

This app is inflexible about cancellations. Make sure to cancel when you first sign up, otherwise Apple will deny your refund request.

Picks up filler words!

Useful picking up my filler words (e.g., um, uh).

Recently also tried the transcription option in another language (French), and that works well too to record and transcribe the topics.

Situations Not Realistic

The app is useful, however the conversational situation exercises don’t give the user enough context on the situation. So instead of focusing on speaking, I’m forced to focus on the unrealistic fictional situations that should be provided to me in the exercise.

I love me some Speeko! A Game Changer for all Public Speakers

I discovered the Speeko app back in 2019, just after it launched, and I’ve been using it ever since to practice and record my Toastmasters speeches, presentations, and even comedy bits.
One of the hardest parts of becoming a better speaker is simply getting enough practice—and Speeko makes that easy. I use it to record speeches, track my progress, and work on things like pacing. I tend to talk too fast when I’m excited or nervous, and the AI feedback has been a game changer for helping me slow down and improve my delivery.
They’ve also created something I think is absolutely genius called “Talko Tuesdays”—a weekly 45-minute live session where users can join in and practice impromptu speaking together. It gives you a safe place to practice, builds a sense of community, and even lets you experience a bit of their live coaching style. For anyone who’s ever struggled with impromptu speaking (hello, Toastmasters Table Topics!), this is incredibly helpful.
Recently I also tried one of Speeko’s live coaching sessions while preparing for a speech contest, and it was a total game changer. My coach, Jen, gave thoughtful, practical feedback that helped me refine my delivery in ways I hadn’t considered. The session was absolutely worth it—and the improvements helped me advance to the next level of the contest.
If you’re in Toastmasters—or anyone looking to become a more confident communicator—I can’t recommend Speeko enough. It truly feels like having a speaking coach in your pocket.
I’ve loved watching this small Chicago startup grow over the years, and it’s exciting to see them continue building tools and community that genuinely help people become better speakers. Huge kudos to the Speeko team—and especially Jen! 🎤👏

Wait this is fun

The UI of this app is so solid. Really well put together and fun to use! I like that there are different components so you can find the type of practice that works for you. Actually makes me want to get better at speaking.

Predatory Marketing

It will charge you the full amount without notifying you

It really helps

Stick with it and it makes progress. I try to practice 3-4 times a week. Great improvement to my public speaking.

Not great

This is not a good app. Very expensive and it doesn’t really teach you much. It records you saying basic things and then you have to critique yourself but you can do that with your camera. There is not really much coaching either. You basically have to teach yourself which defeats the purpose of paying all this money. Can’t refund and get my 60 bucks back either

There are better options out there. Just wish I would’ve researched before buying this one

What are you waiting for?

i’ve been working on my speech for probably 10 years now and this tool has improved my articulation and monotoneness with tips, feedback, and techniques in less than a month. I sound better and feel more confident. I previously done toastmasters, speech coach, speech therapy, and a udemy class. they all helped me and improve my ability to speak along with my confidence, but this really gave me the techniques for un blending my words. My family is from the south so every word gets shortened. And I’ve struggle with undoing that my entire life until now at age 46.

Hi Tieshanp5, thank you so much for this review. The fact that Speeko helped with your speaking skills after trying all those other options is the highest compliment we could ask for. We want Speeko to be the best speech tool experience you’ve ever had, so thank you again for sharing this. If you ever have ideas for how we can make Speeko even better, send us a note at info@speeko.co. Cheers! -Nico

Very disappointing application.

Probably the worst app on the store to date. Optimizations is trash it will drain your battery in no time. Lag and freeze all the time (on iphone 16pro) don’t waste your money there.

Little practice, lots of fluff

Too much low-value “lesson” content in front of the practical practice exercises.
I’m looking for a quick 10 minute a day skill builder, and end up spending all of my time trying yo tap through the “theory” content without getting to put it into practice.
I regret the subscription.

Bugs

The app is good, but now it keeps acting up by taking down a lesson after you confirm it.

Don't download

This app is not worth it and makes you believe you are signing up for a weekly subscription but then will charge your card for a yearly amount. Ridiculous!!!!!

Great!

This is a very practical APP - it allowed for daily practice in small bites that I can easily digest.

Speaking skills

Super perfect
