Pointless if you need the money now
So I needed to pay a bill and needed money on card to do that, I went to dg and bought this card and on the card case it says you can use it online,in stores or to pay b bills. WHAT THEY DON’T TELL YOU IS that yes you can do all that but ONLY AFTER you received the personalized card in the mail over a week later which means i used my bill money for nothing now bc the money i loaded I cannot use bc I still haven’t received my personal card yet. So my bills late and I have money on card for over a week note that I can’t even use till other cards comes in mail.., pointless just pointless waste of time money and resources

We’re sorry to hear we haven't provided a 5-star experience. While our bill pay feature is only available after you have activated your personalized card, you can use your account and routing numbers, easily accessible in your profile, to pay bills via ACH at any time.
Pls help me with this
Pls fix the app I ordered a card from dollar general and then I went online to register a card not a temporary one but it doesn’t work it says there was a error also when I put 30 dollar on my card at dollar general they say it was suspended so basically I think o got scammed so can you help me out with this issue

Don’t get this at all
I really don’t like how I keep writing my information all over again like if the app is playing games around, this is really annoying and waste of money, I put money in that card when I bought now my money is stuck there I can’t spend it on nth, this is a really bad card and app.

Tried over 10 to activate it and it says oops we are experiencing difficulties I waited a whole week to try again same thing! WORST PURCHASE EVER!!!

Won’t let me
It won’t let me make a account and says my card number is wrong when I type it out perfectly and the customer service to 30 minutes to work and when it did it was an Indian lady with the thickest accent I’ve ever heard. Everytime I get to the end of the account process it tells me error and when I try to sign in it tells me the user name I used is already taken. Not to mention it won’t let me get the money already on the card so I got screwed over.

A joke
I give this no stars, I bought this card at the dollar general, only put $20 on it to see how it works. Well on week two now, and about 20 phone calls to useless customer service and still can’t use it. Every time I call they try a supposedly put me through to technical support ( I really don’t think they have a such thing) as I am put on hold and always come back to the person that transferred me there only to be told no one’s answering (duh) to call back later, every time!!! This card and or company is a joke DONOT get this card. And I will be telling everyone and everyone I see ready to buy the card not to and tell them it’s not worth the headache and they probably won’t have access to their money anyway. I really would like to write disclaimers and hang everywhere these cards are in the stores. SCAM

Why label it reload Card that u got to apply for then it tell u it only for online purchases and no atm withdrawal basically holding ur money
False advertisement
There was a link for a spendwell account in my dollar general app saying that if I set up an account with spendwell I would receive $30 loaded onto it. Great, I’ll take it, and I don’t have my own debit card currently anyway so I’ll use their reliable card, I shop at dollar general enough, and it’ll be great for helping budget if u just put a certain allotment of money onto it to use for specific things.. set up the account, never received the $30, it still shows $0 balance in the account. Yall wasted your time and money sending me a physical spendwell debit card that I now refuse to use on principal even though I could’ve otherwise used it and my account is just as quickly getting closed. I won’t be a part of a company that lies to get people.

I'm sorry to hear we haven't provided a 5-star experience. To receive a $30 statement credit for the for accounts opened online without prior purchase of a starter card in store, you must successfully register online at myspendwell.com for a new spendwell account between January 1, 2026-February 28, 2026 and activate the permanent card once received in the mail within 30 days of registration, and the statement credit will be posted to the account within 30 days of the permanent card activation.
Awful
I purchased this because I needed a temporary place for my money. (Bank account was compromised)…I was not able to use the temporary card at any in person places, ie…gas station, ATM or even put it in Apple Pay. I called customer service twice and was told the second time that I had to wait until I received the permanent card. I would Never recommend this card to anyone! Very disappointed

Lies and Scams
Customer service runs you around in the same circle for an hour while everywhere you go it says to “just register it” when it won’t PHYSICALLY let you same thing when you try to make an account and we just love talking to robots that repeat themselves like broken records i’m surprised lawsuits aren’t lined up out the door.

Great app but
This app is great makes it super easy to put money on my card my only problem with this app is the monthly limit ($5,000) wish I could upload more than that a month but other than that easy to use
