Easy to use

This app makes it easy to change reoccurring payments from weekly, bi-weekly to monthly.

Used to be great

Got worse once it switched over from the old name, so hard to get help over email.

This bank has locked me out of transferring funds to other banks

While my primary bank is recognized by Plaid, credit card companies, mortgage companies, and other banks for transferring money, GreenFi has said my primary bank is not “verifiable” and has disabled that link. They removed me ability to delete that account and reverify it, and when I called to have them verify it they refused to. They said they will not re-enable it and that my only option is to transfer to another bank instead. Rather than open up a new bank, the easier solution is to drop GreenFi and take my business elsewhere.

I would avoid using them at all costs!

PLEASE HELP?!

Has the app been hacked/down, or is it just me?! The last 2 days I can’t even log in. As soon as I load the app, I get an error message that says ‘Oops! There was a problem. Please check your internet connection and try again.’ I’ve checked my WiFi. Reloaded the app. Deleted and reinstalled. Nothing. Still the error message. It doesn’t even pop up to a login screen. I tried emailing, going to the website, but my phone flagged the website and won’t let it load either. I can’t access my funds. Is there a number I can call?! Please help?!?!

FAQ

What does GreenFi do?

GreenFi offers mobile banking services including checking and savings accounts. It focuses on ethical practices, such as not funding fossil fuel exploration and planting a tree with every purchase made using their debit card. Users can also save, spend, and invest their money.

What are the key features of GreenFi?

Key features include ethical checking and savings accounts, a program that plants a tree with every purchase, a commitment to not fund fossil fuels, earning up to 3.25% APY, getting paid up to two days early, and unlimited withdrawals at over 55,000 Allpoint ATMs.

Is GreenFi free to use?

The app itself is free to download and use for its core banking functionalities. While there are no explicit subscription fees mentioned for the basic banking services, the description notes 'All Extra Services Provided at Cost' and an optional 'Pay What Is Fair' contribution program for nonprofit partners, suggesting potential costs for specific services or optional donations.

What are the compatibility requirements for GreenFi?

The provided description does not specify the exact operating system versions or device types required for compatibility. However, as a mobile banking application, it is expected to be available on major mobile platforms like iOS and Android.

How does the 'Plant Your Change' feature work?

When opting into the 'Plant Your Change' service, GreenFi rounds up your debit card transactions to the next whole dollar amount. The excess amount is then transferred to your 'Plant Your Change Service Account,' contributing to tree planting initiatives.
