App charges services fees each use
As of sep24,2026: I’m not sure if this is recent? I’ve been using this app for about 5 months now. And when I sent the receipt over to some friends so they could all pay their share, each person had a service fee of $2.95. I will NOT be using this app anymore. What a shame.
Delayed deposit
I made a withdrawal on the 14th, and it said the funds would be in my account by the 21st at the latest. I contacted support, and they told me it would be in my account on the morning or evening of the 22nd. It’s now the 23rd, and I still haven’t received my deposit. I contacted support again, but I still haven’t received any update or explanation.

Splitting Bills Has Never Been Easier!
I love how easy Split Mobile is to use! It makes splitting bills so convenient, especially when dining out with large groups. The best part is that your friends don’t even have to download the app to use it! It makes splitting the bill quick, simple, and stress free. Highly recommend!

Cool app
Went to dinner with my family for my grandma. Party of 14, split made splitting and paying super easy and convenient. Can’t recommend enough
Amazing app
Such a great app! It solves a problem so many face and makes it easy. Some restaraunts don’t let you split the check more than 2 ways and this saves the time/hassle of calculating everything and dampening the mood before a night out

Absolutely LOVE this app! Splitting bills with friends used to be such a hassle and honestly so awkward. Went to my birthday dinner and used Split—saved my night. It makes it so much easier to figure out who owes what. Highly highly recommend!!!!!

Convenience is Bliss
Been using Split since I first discovered it a few months back and it’s been a seamless experience! It’s made my life more convenient in many ways. Even with a minuscule fee to pay, it really shouldn’t burden the consumer’s experience. I will take that over figuring out nitty gritty numbers, or chasing down payments between friends any day! Love that it tracks how much left is owed to you too! Excited to keep using and see this app evolve!

the best app
Used this with friends after dinner and it just worked. You can split evenly or by item, scan the receipt, and send people their share without the usual “I’ll Venmo you later” delay. Guests can pay without downloading anything, which is the part that usually kills other apps. Clean, fast, and it actually gets you paid back.

High fees and complicated transfer process
Used this for a bill and it cost me over $20 in fees for collecting the money from the other people. You also have to create a Stripe account to get the money out of the app. I should just be able to transfer the money to my Venmo account. Other than that, the app is well made but just not worth the cost or payout complexity.

Love it!
This app has become a staple for me when it comes nights out with friends. Great for work outings too! Makes splitting things way easier for myself and others. Definitely recommend.
One caveat :/
Apps great to split bills but there is a service fee now for the those paying the bill. Feels weird for my family and friends to be paying MORE just to use something they didn’t need to. If anything it’s for the person actually using the service, me. Otherwise app lays it down greet for splitting.
High fee
They charge high fees. I really enjoyed using this at the start but now I feel bad making others use because of the high fees.
Great way to pay - Doesn’t disclose the service fee
Here’s the scenario, You invite a group of your friends for dinner.
You get a text that someone wanted to bring their cousin and their friends. It’s all good, you met them once.
Y’all have dinner and it’s time to pay, BOOM, you offer to use your card to pay and there’s a way everyone can send you their part all in one place. Scan the receipt, generate the link or QR code and send it to the group chat.
Your party of 12 pays in less than 5 minutes.
That cousin and friend that you barely know, scan this QR code, select your items and pay in seconds. EASY!
The app even shows you who paid, what is outstanding and collects everything until it’s ready to cash out.
Here’s the sad part. Before a recent update (July 2026) there wasn’t a service charge for the “pay through the app” feature.
I was doing an even split of a bill with a few friends. They knew the drill, they waited for me to do my thing and send them the link.
I told them what they had to pay on their end, sent them the link and they were confused why it was charging them something’s different.
Lo and behold the payment screen was updated and there was an itemized list with a 5% service charge.
There was no warning, update message or indicator on my end.
I never would have known if my friend hadn’t showed me.
It just felt very sneaky and lowkey was kinda embarrassing after hyping up the app.
Basically, the app charges this fee to everyone of your guests using this feature and then (I assume when available) charge you a service fee when cashing out the payments instantly
I mean hey, the app works wonders if you and your friends don’t mind paying more.
It would be cool if you had the option assign items to a person instead of having them pick them out. This way we could use the app and bypass using the service charge feature. There are apps that do this already.
Overall, great app but I’ll stick the apps that won’t charge a fee.

Cool but needs Instant Withdrawal
Unless you have the funds to pay the entire bill in your account already do not use this app. Went out with friends and we all tried it cause I thought it was cool and once I tried to withdraw the money everyone sent me it told me it'll arrive in 3-5 days (it took 5). My buddy ended up having to foot the whole bill after everyone already basically paid so I had to send it back to him later once I got it.

Fees are too high
App was excellent, until they started charging fees. When you send a split the person that needs to pay you will be charge around 5% for the payment to be processed, which seems high. Something around 1-3% would be more reasonable. I now only use this app to split up the payments and ask people to just Zelle me. It was really cool that people could use their credit card to pay you, but I don’t think most people would be willing to pay an additional fee to the money they owe you especially on more expensive items or bills. For example if you use the split up to copay for a subscription every month that person would be paying an additional fee for the subscription.

Amazing app, but….
I’ve done multiple tests to see how it works and you know what it’s amazing and so easy to use. But the thing I didn’t like was the service fee. If it was a flat fee like $1 or $2 I’ll give it a pass. For the fee to be around 5% of the final price is crazy. If it was a very large group like 10-15 people I don’t think ppl would mind the fee. Goin for 4-8 people it would be harder to swallow that fee.

They don’t tell you about the service charge to your friends
So far my experience has been flawless and it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for in an app. It’s very powerful and I’m still getting used to all of the options bc the layout isn’t the most intuitive yet. But the only thing I would like to know is if you split an item for multiple people. Like if three people share something and want to split it evenly
