Great Support Cool App

I reported my issues with the Apple phone and the app, and within three hours I actually received a phone call from a nine year veteran of the company. Totally addressed my issues. I could not be more impressed, very pleasant experience!!

Response from developer

Thanks for taking the time to share this, mikecg123. The symptom you describe — the app not recognizing the end of a pile or stopping to calculate — is consistent with an ARKit issue Apple has now identified as a core issue with iOS 26.4 ARKit affecting iPhone 14 Pro and newer devices. Apple has developed a fix, now being prepared for release through Apple's standard iOS update process. We expect resolution within weeks. In the meantime, please update to SR Measure 9.1.5 in the App Store — it's the recommended version. — James Lobbett, Stockpile Reports

Garbage app. Not worth the money

When I first got the app it worked great. Now everytime I try and measure a pile, I get a warning saying measuring has been halted. Don’t waste your time or money on this app.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback, mademike22048583 — and sorry for the frustration. The halt message you're seeing isn't a problem with your phone or how you're measuring: it's SR Measure detecting a known issue Apple introduced in iOS 26.4 that affects iPhone 14 Pro and newer devices, and stepping in before it can give you a bad result. Good news: Apple has released a fix, currently available through their standard iOS beta programs (Developer Beta or Public Beta) ahead of the public release, which we expect to be confirmed soon. Please also make sure you're on SR Measure 9.1.6, the current recommended version. — James Lobbett, Stockpile Reports

Used to be good

Once upon a time, this app worked great. Now it's near constant failed measurements and crashes. I might get a usable measurement out of it 2 or 3 times out of 10 attempts, if I'm really lucky that day.

Response from developer

Thanks for the candid feedback, NATOstrike — the inconsistency you're seeing on newer iPhones is real, and we appreciate you flagging it. Apple has identified a core issue with iOS 26.4 ARKit affecting iPhone 14 Pro and newer devices and has developed a fix. The fix is now being prepared for release through Apple's standard iOS update process, and we expect resolution within weeks. — James Lobbett, Stockpile Reports

Continually crashes

Hey guys, I used to use this app some and it worked great but with the new update it seldom ever finishes a scan. It crashes almost every time with a message that it was due to a hardware problem and nothing that I did so if you’re going to continue to charge the money that you do to use this app, you have better get something figured out.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback, Airbornespider — and apologies for the lack of clarity in the in-app message about hardware. To be straight with you: this isn't a problem with your iPhone, and it isn't something you did. Apple has identified a core issue with iOS 26.4 ARKit affecting iPhone 14 Pro and newer devices and has developed a fix, now being prepared for release through Apple's standard iOS update process. We expect resolution within weeks. — James Lobbett, Stockpile Reports

Inconsistency

The app was very helpful and reliable. Now can take 3 tries to get a measurement also very inconsistent with the measurement.

Response from developer

Thanks for sharing this, CPHand26 — the inconsistency you're describing matches what we're hearing from many measurers on newer iPhones. Apple has identified a core issue with iOS 26.4 ARKit affecting iPhone 14 Pro and newer devices and has developed a fix, now being prepared for release through Apple's standard iOS update process. In the meantime, please update to SR Measure 9.1.5 in the App Store if you haven't already — it's the recommended version. — James Lobbett, Stockpile Reports

FAQ

What does SR Measure do?

SR Measure allows you to measure stockpiles of various materials in real-time using your iPhone. It uses proprietary algorithms to convert images into accurate volume measurements, supporting different pile shapes and sizes. This is useful for scoping jobs, verifying deliveries, and confirming supply.

What types of materials can be measured?

The app can measure a wide range of materials including crushed rock, landscape materials, dirt, mulch, soil, scrap metals, and waste. Essentially, if you can pile it, the app can measure it, with no limit on pile height or size.

How does the measurement process work?

You measure stockpiles by simply walking around the pile, bunker, or bin with your iPhone. The app's algorithms then process the images to provide precise volume measurements, displayed with a 3D model of the pile or bunker.

Is SR Measure free to use?

The application is free to download and use, with in-app purchases available for additional features or functionality. This allows users to try the core features before committing to any purchases.

What are the benefits of using SR Measure?

SR Measure offers speed and precision in measuring stockpiles, helping you scope jobs accurately, provide proof of delivery, and ensure vendors are honest about supply quantities. It also allows you to save measurements for future reference.
