Stride - App Lock & Focus
Walk to earn app time
About
What's New in Stride
1.0.3
October 4, 2026
A warmer, calmer Stride, plus fixes to how steps and passes are counted. NEW LOOK • A fresh, cozy design across Today, Apps, Week and Settings. • Today shows your progress to the next reward on a new step ring, with your banked minutes in their own card. • Pull down on Today to refresh your steps from Apple Health. STEPS AND MINUTES • Fixed double-counted steps. If you wear an Apple Watch, a walk recorded by both your iPhone and your Watch used to count twice. It now counts once, the way Apple Health counts it, so you may see fewer steps than before. • Progress now counts your whole week. Steps left over from earlier days carry toward your next 15 minutes, and Today and the shield show how many steps you still need. • Stride can refresh your steps in the background (about once an hour, as iOS allows), so newly earned minutes can be ready on the shield without opening Stride first. • After the Monday reset, the shield no longer offers last week's minutes. • Fixed a bug where a very busy week (more than 30 passes) could give back minutes you had already used. UNLOCKING • Unlocking from the shield now keeps you in the app instead of sending you to the Home Screen. • On iOS 26.5 and later, the shield's "Open Stride" button opens Stride directly. • Removed the Dynamic Island countdown. It rarely appeared and could show the wrong time. Pass notifications still tell you at the halfway point, with 1 minute left, and when your apps re-lock. Updating doesn't reset anything: your steps still come straight from Apple Health, and your locked apps, pass history and settings carry over.
