Both profiles I contacted in my area were cat fishing with other peoples pictures and names, which considering I was looking for a DRIVING INSTRUCTOR, indicates that there is no ID upload in order to double check identities and make sure someone actually has a LICENSE to teach someone to drive. insanity. DO NOT USE.

A Great Platform for Connecting with Students
Superprof has honestly been a really helpful platform for growing my teaching and connecting with students I probably wouldn’t have met otherwise. As a guitar teacher, I like how simple it is to set up my profile and start conversations with people who are actually interested in learning.
It feels pretty natural to use, and I’ve had a lot of good experiences with students so far. Most people I’ve worked with have been friendly, motivated, and easy to communicate with, which makes teaching a lot more enjoyable.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend Superprof to other teachers or professionals who want an easy way to find new students and share what they do.

Good app to use
I’ve had 4 customers and this app has been very responsive and helpful with tutoring.
Most obvious scam
Support is AI and you cannot connect with a real person. You have to request a refund through email instead of everything being handled on the app. Payments also aren’t handled on the app through a third party connector. You actually have to send the tutor money via Zelle, Chime, and etc
False advertising
You pay them to “maybe” find work as a tutor. Can’t add the subjects that they advertised a need for, eg Art. Can’t add your US phone number in app. Can’t delete account in app. Don’t bother! They advertise on Instagram just to get sign ups.
The company ludicrously claims that I must have downloaded a different version and that was why I had this experience - and says I have no account with them. Well that would be because I have closed my account.

Recurring fee wasn’t clear
Paid what I understood to be a one-off fee to contact tutors. It wasn’t made clear this was a recurring subscription, not a single charge. Of the tutors I messaged, one never replied and the others stopped responding as soon as I tried to book a lesson. Paid for the service and got nothing usable. Check your bank statement after signing up and be aware the fee recurs — think twice before paying upfront.

There have been no efforts to teach and setup. looks like some bots start engagement and then ghost. They didn’t even refund

I opened a profile to teach and unless I pay 100$ right away my profile is never visible. So it’s been over a week I’ve had it and no one is actually seeing my profile.

Absolute SHAM
COMPLETE SHAM BASED WITH UTTER LIES AND NO INTENT TO TEACH YOU A THING! I’ve attempted to use this platform three times to get a Spanish tutor and all attempts have ended in being mislead or rejected after the tutor ACCEPTED my request. The first time, I shockingly was able to schedule a call and it ended up not even being the person I wanted! She ended up being great but then GHOSTED ME amidst our lessons, then had to nerve to reach out after months with even higher rates. Next, I submitted for a professor recently, and the women accepts the lessons then says she “doesn’t have time to do lessons” after she literally accepted it and the company took my $49 deposit. I reported it and still haven’t received my refund. I figured foolishly “oh, maybe it was a fluke so it’s try again”, which was a poor decision. I submitted for another teacher, and she instantly accepted, then had no time to meet and left it fully open and never reached out. I reach out again and she says “I can’t help you” with no explanation. This platform is full of deception, deceitful liars who accept lessons with no intent to teach you, which is why I rate this app with 1 star.

Efficient but algorithm heavy.
I have loved using Superprof for online teaching so far. It is a great way to connect with people. My only reservations are the following. In my experience you only find students from the country you are living in. So, if you have an Italian network, you get Italian clients. It would be nice to feel more connected globally. Further, I prefer using other video call platforms, such as Google Meet - as I never quite took to the platform on Superprof, after one or two unsuccessful attempts. Additionally, as a tutor, if you don’t have a low rate, expect a difficult battle with algorithm for a while. This does eventually change but can feel frustrating as you enter the platform. I have paid for the pro account and also feel that doesn’t change much. Overall, there is room for improvement in the Superprof system but it’s an excellent way to meet new students when you are connected. The payment system also works very well, with a choice to be paid after any amount accrued higher than €20 or the end of the month. I also prefer this platform to sites like Preply, because you can manually arrange bookings as a tutor and students don’t book your time automatically by availability settings. I definitely recommend this platform.

Not what It seems
I was looking for a tutor and found options on this app. When I went to book it only prompted me to the student pass which seems like that’s the price you pay to meet with their tutors offered on the app. NO that’s just the fee you pay to be able to message and plan meets i guess with tutors on the app. Then you need to pay them separately……

Fühl mich abgezockt
Ich war beim Buchungsvorgang abgelenkt, dabei wirkte es so, als würde ich eine Art Vorauszahlung oder Deposit für meine gebuchte Stunde zahlen. Dabei habe ich nur dafür gezahlt, eine andere Person anzuschreiben. Werde mal beim Verbraucherschutz nachhaken.

Der Student Pass wird jedoch vor der Buchung erläutert: Er ermöglicht es, Lehrer zu kontaktieren und wird erst nach einer erfolgreichen Kontaktaufnahme aktiviert. Very confusing
Was charged £39 just to contact a tutor, and was charged even though the app says this happens only after contact with a tutor is made. Not very happy and would suggest you take care with the app

They charge you 40$ a month, just to give you the ability to ASK for a tutor. It’s also done purposefully deceiving way.

Très bon site pour trouver rapidement des professeurs qualifiés, en présentiel comme à distance.
En revanche, je trouve l’abonnement à 39 € juste pour pouvoir contacter les professeurs, c’est beaucoup trop cher. Il serait plus intéressant de proposer plusieurs formules (par exemple payer quelques euros pour contacter un seul professeur, puis une offre illimitée pour ceux qui en ont besoin).
En tant qu’étudiante, c’est un budget important, d’autant qu’il faut ensuite payer les cours. Bonne idée, mais pensez à prévoir le budget !

I know it’s not the apps fault but they should have better moderation as they took £300 pound from me and deleted her account so she’s refused to give it back
