AI CHATBOT ADDED TO RUIN IT
Hooray. Just like every other half-decent but not brilliant piece of software or app out there - they've added an annoying AI that you cannot undo that bloats the app and is useless.
Poor UX
So, turns out you can get controls exposed, but you can’t add the device with a category, but have to add it as “Other”, after which you can expose an on/off matter switch target allowing automation outside of SwitchBot’s unreliable cloud. This is not very intuitive, but since it works, only docking a star instead of original 3.

Great when it works
When everything is set up right it’s nice to be able to open your door for an unexpected guest. But when anything goes wrong at all this door won’t open and will lock up pretending it doesn’t know anything you set up. A sad reality of this technology. You must stay on top of this every day because you never know when it will decide that all the settings you set up don’t work anymore. 👎

Poor integrarions
The hub 2 / infrared / switch integrarion with matter and apple home is not very good. As the app’s own cloud automations are very unreliable, it is a shame you can’t take advantage of local processing since you can’t automate the buttons or the IR actions.

どうやらiOSの仕様でスリープ時はバッテリー容量監視でスマートプラグのオンオフを100%確実に作動させるのは無理みたいです(せいぜい50%とか。AIにも聞きました)。なので、タイマーコンセントを使い、充電を開始する時にオートメーションでバッテリーの残量を取得し、止めたい容量(例えば80%)との差分を計算させ、充電器の充電速度を予め測っておいて(例えば1分で1%)、充電開始時の容量が40%なら40→80%まで40分なので、それをオートメーションで「80%まで40分かかります」等と表示させて、タイマーコンセントのダイヤルを適当に設定します。当然スマホなので充電中のバックグラウンド動作の処理度合いで充電速度は変わりますが、この方法ならiOSに突破されず100%確実に満充電を防ぐ事が出来ます。
今はスマートプラグは遠隔で手動オンオフさせる機器に使ってます。

Apple Carplay ist sehr dringend notwendig
Ich besitze 2x Lock Ultra, einmal mit Vision Keypad und einmal nur mit dem Fingerabdruck-Pad, sowie zusätzlich dem Garagentoröffner. Während der Fahrt möchte ich nicht mein Handy benutzen, um das Garagentor zu öffnen. Ich wünsche mir sehr, dass es in Carplay bedienbar ist, ohne dass ich mein Handy in die Hand nehmen und die App öffnen und dann die Garagentortaste drücken muss. Ansonsten bin ich vollkommen zufrieden mit Switchbot Produkten.

The worst smart device system
The app is completely useless. Bloated unintuitive and the offered options don't work. The customer support is completely based on AI and tone-deaf to requests

Still garbage

I like the sensors but the app sucks and they're trying to shove AI down your throat. I'll be switching to home assistant, and doubt I'll buy another one of their products.

Unfinished
The switchbot hub 2 device is great but this app is simply unfinished. Widgets don’t work - I can’t select which device for the temp and humidity meter widget. And the stupid AI thing needs to be disabled. I could vibe code the rest of this app and they can’t even be bothered doing that. What am I paying for with these devices??

Can’t remove kata
I have KATA turned off in Module Display Settings but it’s still there on the home screen. Why on earth would you people think I need AI to turn my lamps off and on?

WTAF? I have no wish to have an “AI Assistant” in the form of a puerile comic avatar taking up 20% of my homepage, but there’s no option to get rid of it. This is a stupid and intrusive update which markedly reduces the app’s usability
