What's New in SymLog

3.0

October 29, 2026

SymLog 3.0 brings widgets you design yourself, one tap controls, and a fuller export. Design your own widgets Open Settings, then Custom Widgets, and build a widget from what you want to see: Health metrics, symptom buttons, today's count, and charts of a symptom or Health metric over 7, 14, or 30 days. Choose a color theme and preview it in Small, Medium, Large, and Lock Screen sizes. Then add the Custom widget to your Home Screen and pick your layout. You can also export your layouts to back them up or share them, and import them again later. Log from Control Center New Log Symptom and Open SymLog controls work in Control Center, on the Lock Screen, and with the Action button. Pick the symptom and severity once, then log with a tap. A PDF export Export Data now offers a PDF report. It opens with what is included and a summary, then adds charts and daily detail for the period you choose, including a clear view of your sleep. A contents list links to each section, and the PDF has bookmarks to jump between them. The Doctor Report is tighter too, with a Patterns section when there is enough history and a choice of which Apple Health metrics to include. Notes on entries Add an optional note when you log a symptom, or open an entry in History to add or edit one. Notes stay in SymLog and are not saved to Apple Health. They are included in your exports and come back when you import a CSV. The Doctor Report can include them too, with a switch that is off by default. Apple Watch entries on your iPhone Symptoms you log on Apple Watch now also appear in SymLog on your iPhone, in History, Insights, the Doctor Report, and exports. If your iPhone is out of reach, they arrive the next time the two connect. Import a CSV Import Data brings a SymLog CSV export back in and saves each entry to Apple Health. Entries you already have are skipped. Achievements SymLog now has 28 optional achievements for tracking over time and trying its features. They are kept on your device. SymLog asks once, a few launches in, whether you want them in Game Center, and you can change your mind any time with Share with Game Center in Settings. It is off by default, and only which achievements you earned is sent, never your symptoms or Health data. Smaller changes - A rewritten FAQ that covers logging, widgets, controls, and Apple Watch - A Rate SymLog link in Settings - Settings is reorganized into fewer sections, and Achievements has its own screen - Layouts adapt to the larger inner display of iPhone Duo - Bug fixes and improvements throughout A change to widgets The Custom widget replaces the older SymLog (Home Screen and Lock Screen), Health Metric, Health Dashboard, Health Summary, Quick Log, Symptom Trend, and Canvas widgets. If you used one of them, it will be blank after updating. Add the Custom widget and rebuild it in Settings, then Custom Widgets. Today's Summary, Weekly Trends, and Metric Chart stay as they are. Widgets, controls, PDF export, and Import Data are part of Premium. Thank you for using SymLog. We read every review!
