What's New in Metered

1.0.13

July 8, 2026

Metered 1.0.13 makes delayed PEM recovery clearer. - In Day Review, mark a day as causing PEM/crash and choose whether PEM started the next day, 2 days later, or 3 days later. - Metered now reduces the budget on the day PEM starts, not always the day after the activity. - Manual PEM recovery works for free users too; Metered+ still owns automatic personalised budget reasoning. - Budget Breakdown now explains delayed PEM separately from yesterday-only carry-over, overspend, and tough-day context. - Reviewed past days now use completed/actual activity costs consistently across budgets, insights, reports, exports, Watch, widgets, and event recovery maths. - Review today now sits below your activities as the wrap-up action for the day. - Learned crash-pair warnings now appear when the risky pair is the whole plan, not only after another activity is added. - Backups preserve the selected PEM onset delay.

Love it

I have been trying multiple different methods to manage energy, mood, and tasks for myself and my partner for years. I didn’t immediately try spoons because I don’t have physical chronic illness, I have bipolar and OCD. I recently decided to try it and so have been trying all the spoon apps to figure out which one works best for me. This is hands down my favorite one. I love that it works with my health apps (which I already use regularly) and helps me communicate my energy level to my partner when I’m struggling. It’s been a huge help getting over that hurdle when it’s hard to explain that I’m just too overwhelmed by my brain to talk some days. 10/10, will probably use this for as long as it’s supported.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for this beautiful review. I’m really glad Metered has helped you find a way to understand your energy and communicate with your partner when words are hard. If a dedicated companion view would ever be useful for you both, Supported is free and built for that. I’m so grateful you took the time to share this, and yes, Metered is very much being cared for. Thank you for making my week.

Great App

This app is a series of apps that’s helps you manage your chronic illnesses. I love this app because it helps me manage many of my autoimmune issues and the spoon theory. This shows me how many spoons I am working with at the beginning of the day and how I go over my spoons and always have crashes. It is designed to help you stay within your allotted spoons that you give yourself to try to avoid crashes. It also allows you to help with your crashes. This is one of the best apps that I have ever used. This whole series of apps is a game changer for people with chronic illnesses and many autoimmune issues.

Response from developer

Thank you, this is kind. Saw you also reviewed Tended. Both were built for the same person in my family who needed all of them, so it means a lot when someone uses the suite the way it was meant to work. Glad Metered is helping you stay within your spoons. Geoff
