Awful

The connection is bad, the updates work only mysteriously and “help” is slow and mostly useless! Don’t waste your money on this!

Easy to use

App is very easy to use and updated regularly. Hopefully more options will be added as watch os is improved.

Not great

I bought this watch in Oct 2025, and it’s been one issue after another. Nothing major, but too many little issues to keep wearing it. So after 6 months of filing many dozens of bug reports, and emails and sw updates, it’s been relegated to my sock drawer. $2k paperweight. TAG is severely over their head going with their own OS

Love the watch but it keeps loosing connection to the iPhone. Fed up of resetting the thing!

Feature Suggestions for TAG Heuer E5

I recently purchased the TAG Heuer E5 smartwatch, specifically the New Balance edition, and I really enjoy it! I just have a couple of suggestions: it would be great if you could add a water intake tracker to help me count daily water, and also a second country option in the weather section.

Also, it would be super helpful if you could streamline the app experience—when I purchased the watch, I had to download several different apps. It would be great if you could stick to just one official app for all of them.” Then you can keep the rest as is!

Question on why it does not save the face ?!?!?

The watch sucks - not sure why it keeps losing the face saved?! Such a headache to have to reset ever my couple days?! Sad - especially for the price and the quality Tag Heuer is suppose to and understood should be - sadly working with you austin team at the domain they are clueless as well :( - not a fan if you all at all :(

Amazing app

A fantastic step up from the old app. This is my third Tag Connected watch, love it and also love that all of my metrics are in my apple health app. It’s like having a posh Apple Watch will class. I hope that they make a few more tweeks to the software and also help improve the battery a little but very happy so fa

Great app

Very easy to use, love the app so helpful

Hopefully more to come?

It would be great to see the inclusion of more watch faces comparable to the Tag Heuer E3/E4 app such as Monaco or Porsche dials.
Furthermore it would be great to personalise the notification sound. I love the F1 chirp on my F1 edition E5 but not for everything! It would be great to have this only for sports related notifications e.g BBC Sport, Sky Sports, F1 app.

Connectivity issues

This watch is a complete piece of overpriced garbage. It constantly disconnects from my iPhone and forgets the connection. The only way to reconnect it is doing a full factory reset and reinstalling everything all over again. Extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. If someone is thinking in buy this peace of junk think it twice before.

Classy watch

This a stylish and good looking watch which looks and feels high quality. It doesn’t have the functionality of an Apple Watch but I don’t really need those extra functions.
I’m not sure that it always records my heart correctly🤷. I like it.

Made for iPhone but iPhone not made for watch

Recently upgraded from AW Ultra as finally had a better looking watch apparently made native for iPhone. The watch is great, including battery and does all I want a Tag Heuer smartwatch to do (fully accepted it would do far less than my Ultra)… but increasingly find, despite it being made for iPhone that the iPhone OS doesn’t play nicely with the watch or app. Examples include the watch updating Health app with workout data but the phone then ignoring that data in other activity related apps. The music player controls on the watch often don’t appear when music plays on the phone (etc.). The app is working, notifications come through and so on so I very much believe this is iOS making the experience with a competitor watch poor, despite them obtaining made for iPhone accreditation.

The most beautiful watch no one will ever see

I wanted to love this watch. But the display is unreadable 99.5% of the time. You can only see the display for a meager 5 seconds at a time before it dims out. I get the battery benefits of this, but PLEASE give owners the ability to disable auto dim. Make us tap a check box that acknowledges it will drain the battery. Fine. The dials are beautiful, but I want to be able to see them. I want other people to be able to see them. Right now I just have an expensive watch that nobody can see.

PS-I gave myself a month to try to love this watch given the amount of money spent. Ultimately I couldn’t live with the dim display and decided to return it. Oops! Tag only offers a 14-day return policy. Now I’m stuck. Just be aware if you want to return your watch for the same reason.

Getting there

Most connectivity problems that made the watch largely useless early on have now been resolved, and it’s working properly. (April 2026 update: app crashes as soon as it is opened and heart rate when jogging continues to be wildly inaccurate. Steps do not accurately reflect in Apple Health, often well short) It’s a lovely watch. The app and features are fairly basic with more to come over time according to Tag.

Battery drain issue

TAG needs to work on optimizing the software so there is not so much battery drain overnight when you’re not wearing the watch. I’ve noticed drain on battery when it’s sitting on my nightstand of around 10 to 15%. This app seems to be fine. It’s the software and the hardware that need to work better together.

Amazing

Have had my F1 connected watch for just a few days and have already put away my Breitling. Both the design and functionality are amazing, especially for F1 fans

Keeps losing connection despite multiple updates

Truly disappointing experience despite infinite updates that claim improvements they do not bring. Garbage product from a premium brand. Thousands of dollars and I can’t even get a text from my wife. What are they playing at???

Connectivity issues

Both the app and watch suffer from serious connectivity issues. It constantly disconnecting from app forcing me to factory reset the watch only to add and reconnect the watch. Watch iOS seems outdated and unreliable which takes away from what should be a premium experience. Overall is an expensive watch for what you get, and I would not recommend it base on the software experience

Horrible

It never stays connected to my iPhone, constantly have to turn my phone off and back on

Terrible app makes for terrible watch!

Constantly loses connectivity to iPhone, inaccurate steps, doesn’t sync when changing time zones (even though iPhone changes).
