Great, but Apple TV needs love
I love that this works on Apple TV. Seriously, it is fantastic. Well, not fantastic, as after the recent update all of my nodes were automatically turned off. This is a big problem when the Apple TV Is at a remote location.

A trivial app for configuring Tailscale VPN. Unfortunately, it consumes more than 10% in background on my iphone 15 pro. Even if you chose no background activity! To be checked for and fixed.
Unable to login
I am unable to login to my account, the Login button just brings up the welcome cards that prompt me to install the vpn again. Stuck in this loop and unable to use the app. I was also stuck before on not being able to ReAuthenticate as that button doesn’t bring up anything its just a dummy button. iPadOS 26 and 27 Tested

High battery usage
Tailscale uses too much battery. The battery drain is noticeably high
Broken app
it just keeps opening the welcome sheet, over and over again. i cannot sign in or use the app in any way. fundamentally broken.
Can’t log in
It just loops between the onboarding flow and the ‘connecting’ screen. Settings log in just takes to the same 4-page onboarding flow with no sign in.
Login flow is broken
I’m trying to install this on my ipad and anytime I go to add an account it restarts the onboarding flow.

Battery issues have returned with a vengeance
Tailscale is incredible and I love it, but battery issues are a chronic problem on iOS - even without an exit node activated. Overnight, with nothing but TS running, my battery was drained over 70%. Hoping to get some TLC on this issue as it makes the service nearly unusable.

Tailscale is by far the most convenient solution for meshing devices together. It would be great if it could hide the top‑bar VPN icon just like Shadowrocket does.

Complete garbage forcing me to TS account
The app makes it impossible for me to login to my own server, because it is constantly asking me to login to tailscale.com, which I refuse. Whenever I cancel, it stops everything I was doing and starts back from zero. Incompetence is strong in this app, one has to wonder how it passed QA. I REFUSE TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT FOR SOMETHING I DONT NEED.

They dont allow you to use an email address to create an account. They force you to use a third party authenticator. This is a highly unsecure process. I recommend you pass, and use a different app.

I use it every day to connect my devices, it’s the most important app on my phone. The battery drain issue also seems to have been fixed, it uses less battery than a competing solution, and it’s free!
