Great
I use it every day to connect my devices, it’s the most important app on my phone. The battery drain issue also seems to have been fixed, it uses less battery than a competing solution, and it’s free!
“Identity provider” system sucks
Tailscale won’t let you simply sign up with your email address and a password. They want you to link one of your personal accounts to them.
Overcomes CG-NAT Issues
I run an ftp server for my family and when I switched to an ISP who didn’t provide a unique public ip address I was forced to try using IPv6 addressing but not all my family had IPv6. Tailscale brilliantly overcomes this problem and also provides me with an endpoint so that when abroad I can connect to my server and continue to use the likes of BBC IPlayer which are location based.

Latest version does not allow logging in
Installing the newest version of the app and trying to log in puts you in an inescapable loop of being sent through initial setup. Cannot log into my account.

Until they fix the magicsock function bug, tailscale is not usable on the iphone. Pretty poor quality to leave a critical bug around for such a long time
Great, except…
This is a pretty good app and I appreciate it being available. Two things keep it from being great.
First, the battery drain is bothersome. Fixing that would be a great leap forward.
Second, the fact that all non-Tailscale network data leaks out unprotected to the Internet creates difficulty for those who cannot safely use an exit node on our Tailscale network. Thus, if I connect to my Tailscale network on a “unsafe“ Wi-Fi, I lose all the protective benefits of the VPN for the majority of my data flow. Having a setting that says that the only data that can flow to and from my device must go through Tailscale would solve this vulnerability and make this a much more useful app.

Really useful! But vpn on demand does not work
I have been using this app for a year now and I really appreciate the core features. It’s really nice to be able to access local services without exposing them to the World Wide Web. However, there are times when I don’t want to have the app on, and I have found that the VPN on demand using the “except on” option I will either be stuck in VPN on all the time, ignoring the on-demand setup- or stuck in VPN off all the time, again ignoring VPN on demand. Not sure what the deal is, or if there’s a certain sequence of it of events that need to be done to make the feature work, but it’s the only blemish in an otherwise great app.

I installed on my computer and it never came the login page. Useless app
HOW DO I EVEN LOG IN??
I just cannot log in. At all. every time I try to add an account it just goes back to the welcome to tailscale intro until it infinite loops.

Die App ist gut und erfüllt ihren Zweck. Allerdings verbraucht sie viel zu viel Akku. Auch im Leerlauf ohne Benutzung des Handys hat Tailscale immer den höchsten Verbrauch.
Easy!
Super Service und wirklich einfach einzurichten! Man sollte sich vorher einlesen, wozu man tailscale nutzt. Für meinen Anwendungsfall der Vernetzung mehrerer Server an verschiedenen Locations und den Zugriff darauf ist es wirklich ideal! Selten sowas einfaches genutzt!

Terrible UI
Ridiculously annoying login pop-up pops up repeatedly every three seconds as you are trying to find out how to enter an alternate coordination URL making this app infuriating to use.

VPN on demand broken
All of a sudden someone they're broke the VPN On Demand. It never Automatically connects. I have to go in and manually do it. What's more, the widget That it is disconnected. I used to believe in this product to look elsewhere. I think the developers are slacking off.
