Used intelligently, can be better than a bank account…
We have reached out to Tally Money and asked for the app to refresh automatically set by the user - the preferred update frequency. As far as I know it only updates when you manually refresh or recently signed in.
Awesome customer support and you even get a debit card to spend, however your card spending limit is limited. If you’re loaded, you might need to think of a plan b, when you want to make large purchases.

Excellent Alternative to Banks
I love the concept of holding real value, outside the control of the banking system, and being able to use it just like money. It feels like a modern yet secure way to protect my savings. I truly hope TallyMoney continues to live up to its promise of safety and independence, and that it remains a strong alternative as the world moves toward digital currencies like CBDCs.
So far, I’m very happy with my experience and excited to see how this evolves.

Everyone should have a Tally Account
Tally Money is very easy to use and a brilliant alternative to a bank. Remember the Northern Rock Collapse.
Everyone should open an account and save into it. You are buying real gold. You don’t get interest on your savings but the gold you buy follows the gold price and should return a better rate than a bank. You can even buy a coffee your shopping or anything else using your gold with the debit card that comes with the account. This is a great option to get away from fiat only money.

TallyMoney is a Big Scam – Avoid at All Costs
They claim your money is tied to gold and should increase in value as gold prices go up, but that’s not true. The price of gold has risen, yet my balance never grew—it stayed stagnant or even decreased. It feels like a scam designed to trap you into paying fees while your money disappears.
On top of all this, their support is slow, unhelpful, and frustrating to deal with. I regret ever signing up for TallyMoney and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from this company!

Lets start by clearing up a few misunderstandings: The value of gold has increased by over 33% in the past 12 months. Since 1 tally equals 1 milligram of gold, customers with an active balance see their savings' value increase. Our app also includes an unrealised capital gain feature, so you can track exactly how your deposit has grown in gold terms — no mystery, no fluff, just facts. We completely get that losing your phone number is inconvenient. But for security reasons, we can’t just hand over account access without proper verification. That’s how we protect our customers’ money — even if it adds a step. Regarding fees — we’re proud to say our structure is clear and transparent. Tally has: - A monthly account keeping fee of 0.5% p.a. or £3 (whichever is higher) - A 1.49% fee on new deposits We welcome criticism when it’s fair — in fact, it helps us improve — but making false claims is misleading and unfair. Amazing Idea
Your gold is insured through a trustee agreement - the gold is vaulted and in the event Tally go pop, you get 99 percent of the value of your gold paid out. Now if its over 85grand that is more than the UK Governmenr guarantees.
It works, I have made money on my deposits and successfully transferred money back to fiat with the profit. The fees are minimal, albeit if I were only buying 10 pounds worth of gold the account would not be worth it.
Given we are in a race to the bottom by central banks to devalue their currencies, its a no brainer to hold Tally and retain purchase power.
I have had some issues with login recently, I am presuming their will be an update to deal with it.
Other than that, bravo I know of no other bank account like it. Not a scam, as some have alluded to.

Liquid Gold
Tally now offers the general public a World first to own ‘spendable Gold’. using their MasterCard in the UK & overseas, and the experience is highly positive. Gold is rallying, and with Global trade & manufacturing uncertainty a Global recession is a possibility. The classic safe haven is being sought. Tally could not be launching at a better time in history. The global population has high access to mobile phones, Fiat & Crypto currencies are faltering & Gold maintains its value. So Tally offers everyone a simple way to buy & spend Gold, and be part of an ancient but modern version Global currency.
Furthermore, I’ve been using Tally for over 2 years & I find it very useful, particularly when travelling, as there are no fees or fx commission when buying goods, which saves a considerable amount.

One key missing feature
The notification thing is maybe for a bit further down the road but I’d really like to be able to see historical exchange rates in the app instead of having the Google the price of 1mg of gold over the past week/month every time I want to have a look. Also it doesn’t seem as though the live rate updates very often, any chance you could clarify how often the GBP to Tally rates update in the app?

Avoid like the plague!!

There is not another product on the market like Tally as it is a gold backed currency and not a trading app, which allows you to spend it anywhere in the world. Missing important features for serious users
1) no visibility as to when a buy or sell will happen, removing the opportunity of being able to play the markets
2) no record in your transaction history (that’s easily visible) to show at what price you paid or even an average over your whole holding. I resorted to taking screen grabs at regular intervals of the balance
3) tried a dialogue with Tally and joining the beta App team but didn’t work well
4) delay on collecting large withdrawals when they contact you manually, but unexpectently , to ask security questions that you can easily answer if you have access to the account. On the plus side the rate was honoured even though gold market had fallen

Hi, We have used your numbering below: 1) As Tally is not a trading app it would be hard to use it the way you seem to want to use it. You are allocated a rate when the transfer in hits our system and when you action a withdrawal, so if the rate changes you get the one you made the transfer at. 2)Each transfer or transaction is allocated a rate which is displayed when you tap on the relative transaction in your transaction list, it will show how much 100 Tally was at that moment. Also, now you can download your statements in PDF format which shows the rate of each transaction in a column. 3)As being part of the beta testing app you would experience a number of different bugs as this is the point we use to weed out as much as we can but sadly can not find everything sometimes. 4)As stated in our FAQs large transfers in or out will go through additional checks as part of our security process which can take up to 2 working days but most are carried out a lot sooner than this.
