Next level of Things.

Amended 6/10/25
Thank you for adding some of my suggestions. App continues to evolve and mature. One thing I’d also love to see is at least one simple Apple Watch complication for one tap access to my lists.

I appreciate the excellent new update that also fixes subtasks and note font size on the iPhone!

Previous:
Focus has most of what you can ask for in a task / project manager and then some.

A single developer managed to pull off what took Things — with a team of Developers years, and has more to offer in my opinion.

### Many niceties …

- Dedicated Inbox
- Thoughtful customization (hide what you don’t want to see, show colors, increase/decrease font size, etc.)
- Tags — multi-level
- Projects/Lists (with notes)
- Areas (with notes)
- Archive projects and tasks
- Sub-tasks
- Dedicated Inbox
- Quick add task from App contextual menu
- Today, Next, Later and Planned views
- Calendar with day, week and monthly views
- Custom list sections
- Built-in Evening section — a place for your nightly tasks
- Drag and drop to change dates and sections
- Task Goals (unique)
- Exceptional search and filtering capabilities
- Extremely reasonable pricing model
- Available on iPhone, iPad and Mac (under one subscription)
- Consistent updates over the last year
- Responsive developer

### Few feature requests:
- Notes for Today/Star and Calendar view (like projects and areas display at the top)
- Image and file attachments
- System Calendar integration ✔️
- Watch app ✔️
- Weather displayed at top of Today/Star view and Calender (10 day forecast, like BusyCal).
- Additional app icons to choose from with multiple pleasing colors to match different home screens

All and all, Focus is a power user’s dream, yet it can be as simple as you want to be if you just want to manage your daily tasks or lists. Highly recommend you give it a try.

Des bugs dans la version payante…

Application intéressante mais une fois passé à la version pro, les widgets continuent d’afficher la mention passer à la version pro malgré restart du téléphone et de l’app

Response from developer

I’m aware of the issue. It usually takes a day or so until the widgets update the subscription status, but this should be fixed in one of the next updates.

Absolut empfehlenswert

TaskFokus ist eine großartige App – übersichtlich, zuverlässig und sehr hilfreich für die tägliche Organisation. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich der schnelle und freundliche Support. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Rare tool that you can see the progress of day.

It is a very good task management tool that allows you to see the progress of a day's tasks on a progress bar and even set up a hierarchy of tags. However, there is one problem. It does not seem to support global time difference settings, so when syncing with the desktop version, tasks are assigned to the wrong date at the end of the day. I would like to see this fixed somehow.

Very promising update just got keyboard short cuts - yeah

Focused has a bunch over very interesting feature and is well done. Doesn’t crash and has a consistent logic. I’d say it just needs a little more refinement in the how to enter data area and some more features.

Response from developer

Thank you! There is still a fairly long list of features planned this year, including easier ways to enter new tasks.
