A Taskrabbit Disaster
Dolly was a better app experience
HORRIBLE SERVICE
Delivery scam
Run elsewhere or do it yourself
Move
Very flexible and efficient
Terrible
The message saying “Sit back and relax while your task is assigned” is misleading because it gives the impression that a helper is guaranteed. The claim of a “99% success rate” also feels inaccurate based on my experience.
I booked my delivery three days in advance and received no updates letting me know that my request was still unassigned or that TR Delivery was still trying to find someone. I called the day before for an update only to discover the issue leaving me to scramble and find another option at the last minute.
Customers should be clearly informed upfront that booking a delivery does not guarantee that a helper will accept the job.
Terrible service
App keeps crashing and never got anyone assigned - was still charged a *service fee*
The Taskrabbit delivery app kept crashing as I was trying to fill out my request, causing me to have to go back and re-input all the info over and over. When I finally got it all put in, it was too late to request the time I wanted, so I had to request a later time.
I chose a morning time slot, but they couldn’t find anyone to assign. I ended up canceling the pickup that same afternoon. Then they have the nerve to charge a $9 *Service Fee*! For what Service???? I will be deleting this app from my phone.
They never show up
Money for Nothing - Bad Customer Svc
Stressful Experience
No movers available?
The worst app, don’t use
If you’re in Chicago, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I contacted the company multiple times before my move to confirm that the helpers were scheduled and confirmed. Despite my concerns, I was repeatedly assured that everything was set.
When moving day arrived, the helpers never answered their phones, and there was no way to message them directly. To make matters worse, there is no direct customer service phone number for Taskrabbit. After reaching out for assistance, I received an email telling me to wait an additional 45 minutes beyond the scheduled arrival time, which was already frustrating.
After waiting, the helper was ultimately canceled anyway. What makes this especially disappointing is that I had scheduled this move more than a month in advance. The lack of communication, reliability, and customer support made an already stressful moving day much worse.
I would not use this service again. They wouldn’t reimburse me for my time wasted. The move was messed up and I owed extra fees to my building and had to pay a premium to find people last minute
Fraud Alert!!
I still hadn’t heard anything the morning of. I called them at 11:55 only to find out the movers canceled and they never bothered to tell me.
They then said they couldn’t guarantee when the next movers would be available but ideally they couldn’t guarantee get back to me by 4 pm.
I ended up finding two guys near the house who agreed to do the move and they got it done within 30 minutes.
I then got a text from the newly scheduled mover. He says he can’t be there until after 4 pm. I call him to cancel and he then puts himself “in route.”
I called Dolly and told them what happened and that I needed this canceled and a refund. The next day I get a $340 charge on my card for work that was never done because this mover said the task was completed.
I called customer support again and they offered me a $20 reimbursement. Ridiculous. I even have screenshots of the mover stating that dolly told him to put himself in route. They’re all scamming.
