We thank Marwan in black Taxi 448👏😘! What a lovely man to have stepped in to help us today when my husband was too unwell to walk and we needed a taxi to drive us a short way to our hotel after visiting the museum. Marwan stood up for us after another driver at the front of the Van Gogh museum taxi line aggressively refused to take us in his taxi because he said the ride was "too short" 🤷♀️.
We have had excellent service to date from this taxi service and we believe the experience has only reinforced our belief that Amsterdam has mainly wonderful taxi drivers .... guess there will aways be one "bad apple" to come across!
Thank you again Taxi 448 for being so observant and such a "good apple" - and saving us! 👌👏👏

Beware
Drivers will either cancel after assignment or accept fares and say they are at your pickup location, when they are not. You may be left waiting for a long time. At this point you can’t cancel or see them on map. The call driver button takes you to a call center, not to the driver. Sometimes it’s difficult to get a timely pickup from the call center. There are better options.

Never use this app
I booked my ride and the app immediately said the driver was 5 minutes away. After 10 minutes the driver called me to confirm my location and said he was 2 mins away - the app still showed 5 mins away. After another 6 mins or so the driver cancelled the ride!
I then used Uber and a driver arrived within 2 mins. UBER ROCKS.

A fraud
They said that the taxi to the airport was 37.50 and they charged me 48 euros— when I called customer services, I was told that I should have told the driver earlier?!

Easy to use
The app is easy to use-- locate a taxi and calculate the cost to your destination. It needs better online help. I was referred to the website, which does not display well on an iPhone.
