FAR too easy to stop or start charging accidentally!
Too many times closing app in iOS tiggers the car to STOP CHARGING! Then my car is not charged when I need it! It also happens accidentally starting a charge and pay much higher electricity costs.

Still no home charge notification
Still no notification that the car is not charging when at home. The only notification is that there is something wrong with the charger after you plug it in. If the charger is not attached to the car when home, there should be a notification.
Don’t trust the service
I told the service chat my car issue and it said I needed to replace x so I made an appointment and did and it didn’t fix or even help in the slightest so now they are charging a bunch more money and saying they need to fix y.
Terrible-slow, can’t find chargers
App can’t find chargers even when parked at Tesla charging with full signal. Awful app.

I’ve deleted and reinstalled, but still won’t open. All I get is a message “access denied” even before I try to log in.

Cluttered homescreen
Functionally acceptable; scrolling down to the function I want is bothersome. The non-interactive image of my car, plus the large reminder to upgrade my car’s software, which I don’t want to do because I like my present FSD version, take up more than half the home screen, making me scroll down to the function I need, like Summon. And the user can’t rearrange the order of the functions, which, if it did, would allow me to put my most used functions at the top for quickly access.
I would prefer the home screen to be an array of rearrangeable tiles, each one leading to a set of functions. I would like some functions, such as Open Rear Hatch, to be a single button on the home screen, or better yet, voice command.
Coming out of the store with an arm full of groceries makes scrolling down to Summon, or Open Rear Hatch awkward, and there is no way for me to customize the app to make that easier to access. Oddly, Open Frunk is a stand alone button, but not Open Rear Hatch.

Why can’t other profiles pay charging cost. Why does it all fall on the. Owner. The owner isn’t the only one. Driving the car.
Charging schedules are messed up
If I want to charge to 100% so that it’s ready for my departure on Sunday morning at 8am, I set a charging schedule for Saturday night from 9pm to 11pm so that it charges to about 80% during that session. I set another schedule, starting at 4am Sunday and ending at 8am. That’s enough time to push the charge up to 100% and not leave the car fully charged for hours before I leave. When I look at the app’s charging stats at 11pm on Saturday, after the Saturday charging session has completed, the Tesla app says “Next schedule Saturday 2100 to 2300”. That’s incorrect! That scheduled charging cycle is done. The NEXT schedule is Sunday 0400-0800”.

Version 4.60.5 is draining the phone battery
The Tesla App in iPhone version 4.60.5 is eating the phone battery in a handful of hours. This is new behavior. Unfortunately I don’t know how to address this, it’s not easy to get support for the app (unlike support for the cars).

Charging schedule
Need more flexibility and options charge schedules and limits. At supercharger it asked me if I want to change the limit to 100% just this one time or permanent, why not have the same thing for home charging?

The app continues to be buggy and the widget is even worse. Never updates in a timely manner and currently it’s actually completely down. Can’t even re-add it to my Home Screen currently. Billion dollar company btw
Most fun I’ve had in a l o n g time
OMG!! Just turned 80 last month and the Cybertruck was the only thing I wanted to celebrate. Married to a successful, albeit non car, guy whose protestations that maybe a sedan would be more appropriate for “my age” fell on deaf ears. I just ❤️ learning this truck. You Tube videos are priceless. Thank you Elon and your band of folks who have made such an incredible experience possible … for everyone. ✌️

Horrible all around
I have had my Tesla roof and powerwall since 2021 with solar and battery backup underperformance. Battery also died in 3.5 years that took 8 months to replace. Now they are unresponsive after many emails and calls to repair broken tiles since January of 2026. Do not recommend at all.

My wife and I are both in our late 60s, and one of the things that has impressed us most about owning a Tesla is just how easy the Tesla app is to learn and use. You certainly don’t need to be a tech expert.
The amount of control you have right from your iPhone is incredible. Charging, climate, locks, location, vehicle status, cameras, security and so much more are all right there, presented in a way that makes sense.
But what impresses me most is that it just works. Every time I open the app, it connects to the car and does what I ask it to do. No fighting with it, no complicated menus, and very little learning curve.
There are a lot of apps on my phone that I use because I have to. The Tesla app is one I actually enjoy using. It feels like a true extension of the car rather than just another companion app.
After only a short time with our new Tesla, I can easily say this is the best app on my iPhone. Tesla absolutely nailed it.

Kids watch access
I really wish I could install on my kids Apple Watch, but since she doesn’t have a phone and her watch uses her own Apple account, the watch can’t install the app. Would be nice to not have to constantly unlock the car for her, especially if the car is home and I’m not.
