Why AI?!
I have enjoyed this app for over a year now, and have stopped using it since it has adopted AI
:( Very disappointing. For an app that references nature and history of people who have deeply respected the land, it feels very hypocritical to use a technology that is so incredibly bad for the environment. Sad!

Great App
I find the Dreamscape stories very helpful for calming my brain and getting to sleep. Karen has a beautiful, soothing voice. The app’s tech support is most helpful as well. I had issues logging in to the new app. They researched the issue and helped me every step of the way.
Great app
So far I am really enjoying this app, from the music, to stories to recipes, its quite nice. The pace for the stories and recipes are fantastic as well. I do think a little more history on some of the castle’s, or even more folklore or faerie stories would be a great addition to it as well.

There is no easy way to unsubscribe. When you try to delete your account, you’re told that that does not unsubscribe you from charges. And they tell you to go to manage subscriptions. But there is no way that I can see to find a link that says manage subscriptions.

Keep AI out of mindfulness
So much AI slop on the cover art and thumbnails—think uncanny valley faces, jumbled text on a pint glass, and the same eerily smooth, childlike woman that shows up everywhere on pinterest now. It just felt so wrong for an app that’s meant to celebrate the authentic soulfulness and natural beauty found in Scotland. I found I couldn’t get past it, and made me mistrust everything else—is the music AI generated, for example? Beyond that, many of the narrations sound like they were recorded in an echoey room on a tinny mic. Love the idea of the app, and hope that more is invested into better audio and actual designers and artists as it grows, but hopping off at the end of my free trial for now.

Did you subscribe before the new app launch in June?
I subscribed to this app when it launched in September 2024. Since this new app launch in June 2025, my subscription is no longer recognized by the app, I had to download the app again, and the app continues to charge me monthly for a service I am unable to access—nothing relaxing about any of that! So, beware.

Magical
Such and incredible app that takes any listener through fantastic story telling of the history of Scotland. Beautiful stories and music! All well done and invites the listener to embrace the strength of all Scotland endures! Relaxing and peaceful! I love this app and highly recommend!
Connecting with my roots
I am an American of Scottish descent and have always been both proud and connected to my ancestry. The Tethered app has allowed me to deepen that connection and explore the culture through different Scottish based journeys (music, meditation, recipes, relaxation, and stories). Loving it and the annual subscription is so worth it!

A brilliant app for mindfulness
Absolutely loving this app for a bit of easy tranquility in a busy life. Tried a few mindfulness apps before but this one really does the trick for me.
Unacceptable Teaser
Really liked the one sleep meditation I got to try But 7 days to try some of the options blinked directly to “Purchase” in big letters after trying just one.

Nice but few male voices
Nice app, delightful content. I prefer male voices as sleep stories so this didn’t work for me.
Love this app!
This is the best app. It’s so soothing. I love the dreamscapes and folklore stories. I listen to them at work. It calms me, puts me in a happy, quiet, and peaceful place. I haven’t used the other features yet but I’m sure they are amazing as well. Highly recommend!
Very few stories, all male narrators

Be careful
I have been getting billed every month and I can’t cancel because the account page tells me I have no subscription or purchase history. Yet today they took more money. Have not gotten help. I don’t enjoy giving bad reviews… just want the withdrawals to stop.
Screen time
Just downloaded this and in 30 seconds I have a request lol. In order to play stories, etc. my phone needs to remain active. Kind of defeats the purpose of meditation and relaxation when my screen has to be on. Looking forward to this fix. Thank you. Xx
Still being charged after removing app.
The app itself is great. However, I canceled it and they keep charging me. Unable to contact them online because it requires you to check a box letting them know if you want to be on their email lists, yet this does not work..you can’t check the box. For this reason, I’m left feeling majorly disappointed with this app.

Different in the sense that *I* can actually escape the world for a few peaceful moments with the music and stories. The stories I use during work. :) love this. No technical issues. Have the annual sub and will be renewing. (Nancy)
