Useless unless you pay weekly
I had seen good reviews and was hoping to be able to receive calls from my kids when they are home alone but nothing on this app worked. And wouldn’t let me see the codes another app sent to the phone number! Wish it worked as advertised for free!

I put my email in and did the “hold to confirm you’re not a bot” thing then it made me do it again and then it said I did it too many times when it was the one who made me re do it for no reason. After that happened MULTIPLE times it finally did the face scan thing then went back to the bot thing then wouldn’t let me past it so it just scanned my face for nothing cuz it wouldn’t let me use it.

Try Visible by Verizon’s basic plan before you waste your money on this so called “unlimited” plan.
They falsely advertise “unlimited” data. I paid for unlimited & immediately had to reset my network settings multiple times on the very first day. It doesn’t work! On the occasion that it does it certainly isn’t unlimited or high speed. TextNow will slow the data down so much that you won’t even be able to watch a TikTok. & this happens long before the month is even up! Boost mobile & plenty of others are cheaper & have better speeds even when you don’t have unlimited. It’s still better than TextNow. What I would really recommend is Visible (on Verizon’s network). I have the standard plan & I neverrrrr everrrr run out of data or have to wait forever for things to load on my other phone with visible. It’s amazing! My hotspot never seems to run out either, TextNow doesn’t have one at all. I regret spending $35 with TextNow for this nonsensical version of an “unlimited plan” when Visible’s basic plan is $10 cheaper & 10x better. I’m not being dramatic. Plus with my permanent promo I only pay $19 instead of $26. They also give discounts for referrals. I am extremely unsatisfied with text now’s service as well as their lack of real support.
