No longer works

Displays “sending” when I open the app and I can no longer submit requests at all.

Very effective but tricky to use

There’s a steep learning curve for this App but once you get the hang of it it’s very useful for reporting water leaks, potholes and a host of urban ills. The response time after you submit an issue is very fast. Same say to within 48 hours for repairing potholes and leaks. You cannot get a response that quickly by calling the city directly.

Historically decent, terrible update maintenance

This app has historically been pretty reliable but a few of the recent updates have complicated its functionality unnecessarily. Most recently, there’s been “required information” features added to the request submission process (for pothole repairs, for example). The problem is that there is nowhere to actually submit that required information and therefore submissions can’t be made 🧠🧠🧠

Good to report potholes

I like being able to report potholes. The city usually comes out and fixes them quickly.

This app is an unacceptable quality in 2022

This app is not good enough for a city the size of Asheville with a budget for software. Photos don’t upload consistently. The iPhone app is buggy and parts of the screen turn gray when scrolling. I could not get a photo to upload using the web version of the app.

Please shop this to a new vendor.

Good citizen tool

This is a great way to help citizens report problems to the city.

I wish it had some more features . It would be nice if we could pay our water bill and so on in the app.

Great idea, but...

As others have said, the idea is great but it is basically worthless if every ticket just gets marked as complete and the city never does anything about it.

As a side note, the “Find Parking” option is using BlackBerry’s icon for some weird reason which is almost certainly a trademark violation

Worthless

This app is worthless if you want to get any issues resolved. Very typical of Asheville city council, just pass the buck to someone else. Don’t waste your time, unless that’s all you have is time...

Buggy app, lousy results, it has become useless

This app started out great as a way to report problems to the city of Asheville. It was a buggy and would crash about every third or fourth time, but the worst problem was that about a third of the requests were never dealt with.

Recently began getting replies on two and three-year-old requests that have never gotten dealt with. Now the app really works and has crashed the last five or six times I’ve tried to report something.

This app is a great way to report problems to the city, but much of the time the city just marks the issue as complete, and nothing is done. There is one sidewalk hazard I reported six times over two years and every time it is marked completed but nothing gets done.

The request is generally marked complete as soon as a report is filed to whatever department supposed to take care of it, but there is never follow-up to make sure it’s done.

Shows promise

Tried to report a city water leak, but since the location is outside the boundary of the app, it’s not possible.

Great app, poor execution.

This app is an incredible way for the citizens to interact with government in maintaining infrastructure. However, The city doesn't actually fix anything that is reported. I reported a pothole near my house and got a notification almost immediately the next day that said my report had been completed yet that pothole is still there and it still tearing up my car.

There is a section of road where in unmaintained property is growing onto the road the city said it was completed but nothing was done.

Ok

Good: there's an app.

Bad: can't submit anonymously.

Excellent

Our experience with the app was exceptional!!

Asheville App

This is the best way to communicate with the City of Asheville. Response is fast and efficient. I would recommend this as the primary communication tool to communicate with the city.
Thank You!

This is a great start start so far!

This is a great start so far for the City of Asheville! That was much I only which it the app was a little quicker and, that I could Apple maps as well as google maps!!

A Good Start...

I think this is something that could grow to be highly useful for a local. I'd like it to allow me to request a new crosswalk or renovations to a park, etc., but this is a very good start. I've been trying to get Public Works to come back and fix a hole they left after a repair for over a year. Maybe I can get their attention this way. At least I know the status of a request now.

Great potential. I hope it continues to grow functionality.
