Poor presentation

Quality of news and presentation very poor compared to global peers

Good news app needs work

The comments section just uses one line in the screen. One cannot review it properly prior to posting.

Ad infested JUNK-Prime

Hey ET, I dont need investment/yoga/wellness classes from you. I thought buying prime subscription would save me from ads but I was wrong. The paid version is also ad based infested. The difference being all the ads now are from times group only.

Duplicate account created

Second account got created without any checks and balances. Very scary and I would like to stay away from it. Cancelled the account. Not sure if it will be really. Cancelled.

Love the daily quotes!

Thought provoking

Really bad

All you get is fake news with no verification and a of lot trades notifications which make no sense

Best ever

Great

Cancel ET

I have tried to cancel this Economic Times, numerous times and it won’t stop. I have sent emails to stop sending me emails and they won’t stop. They send too much and I want to unsubscribe and it won’t let me. If you want your inbox clogged with emails and have a company disregard requests to stop then this horrible Economic Times app is the one. They are horrible

Prime Ad infested

Hey ET, I dont need investment/yoga/wellness classes from you. I thought buying prime subscription would save me from ads but I was wrong.

Continues to be an ad infested paid subscription

02/26/2026 - The paid version of this app is popping ads today. This keeps happening every now and then.
11/11/2025 - You can’t read an article without being shown an ad from times network. What a shame for a paid subscription.
11/06/2025 - Continues to be an ad infested app even with a paid subscription. It now has a dedicated screen space where paid training for yoga, AI, trading etc is advertised. I was hoping to avoid all this in a paid subscription, but apparently that is not a choice

Hey

The first time

Cluttered with nonsense

I have been a premium member for the past 3years and there are so many backdrops in the application and the topics delivered and how they are delivered.

1. Economic times has individual applications for all the sectors, while it also has Industry section in this app, however some of the articles in those applications are not found here.
2. You people write a novel on every topic which is irritating because it would be helpful if you it is informative as throughout, but to the contrary you explain in the second person perspective and then write the same paragraph in fist person perspective and then in rewrite it now putting the second half of the paragraph as first and the first half as second, this gives no more information that what has already been delivered in the 1/4 of the entire article. Which could be of 2-3 min read you drag it to 7-8min read utterly useless. I have started using AI to summaries your articles so I don’t have to waste my time, yet why should I do this when I have paid and you guys need to deliver the news in the right way.
3. Articles get repeated, it happens in a way that the titles of the articles are changed but the message inside is same.
4. You people are supposed to be delivering market news, but CNBC does much more better job than you people do, follow them hope you get learn something.
5. Articles made on Top stocks picks are never coming true why try to stick readers on something which is useless, doesn’t your product team verify if the given calls are met, if did, would have discontinued articles of this sort.

Respond to my feedback, with what you guys think of these issues, I believe you people are aware of these but are negligent to rectify them. If these are not rectified not just me but whole lot of your subscribers will leave you, and that’s not good for a business.

Feedback on making it more user friendly

I really enjoy using your app to read news. I have a small suggestion to make navigation easier: currently, the back arrow is at the top of the screen. If it could be moved to the bottom-left corner, where the thumb naturally rests, it would make it much easier and faster to move from one page to another while reading.

Popups galore

I paid for this for 3 years only to realize I have to play a game of guessing when a popup will pop out. I might click to see a news but no, I clicked an ad. A clickbaity websites is so much better as it’ll remember. But here it’s every time you open the app.

Value not debatable

Great app

This is my go to source for financial news on India. Sometimes app is slow even on brand new iPhone X, but generally works very well. Keep up good work!
