Barely works

Just not well optimised or good UX

App doesn’t work

You guys need to fix this app. Sometimes App doesn’t open at all.

Current practices raise concerns about fair consumer practices under Australian consumer law

I’ve been a regular customer of The Grounds and unfortunately I’ve noticed ongoing issues with their app over the last 8 months that raise serious concerns.

First, the loyalty program does not appear to track or display points correctly. After purchases, the app does not show the points earned, and my balance consistently appears as zero despite frequent visits. This makes the loyalty program seem unreliable or potentially non-functional.

Second, there are problems with gift cards and “Grounds Dollars” balances. When you purchase credit through the app or at the counter, any remaining balance that is lower than the cheapest item cannot be used. For example, if you have a $3 balance but the cheapest product costs $5, the remaining credit simply sits there and cannot be redeemed.

What is more concerning is that when additional credit is purchased, the app does not combine it with the existing balance, which effectively leaves small amounts stranded across transactions. This creates a situation where customers cannot recover or use the remaining funds.

Over time I’ve accumulated around $20 across different balances that cannot be spent or recovered. I have already submitted an enquiry to report the missing loyalty points and the unusable balances, but these issues have been occurring for months.

These practices raise concerns about fair consumer practices under Australian consumer law, and I hope the company investigates and resolves them properly.

Unpleasant experience

This is a glorified web page at best. The user experience is all over the place and leaves you wondering what muppet designed it.

The payments screen is a nightmare if styles and often find yourself trying to pay and getting an error!

A good example of what not to do

This feels very much like a web app that has very little to no native functionality. A website at best.

Today I couldn't order, do not use 0 in the mobile number. Won't let you edit it and it fails to move forward on an order.

The pages are sluggish and really makes for a poor app experience.

For a venue that provides great food and friendly staff the app falls short on the high bar that is the grounds

Please fix bugs

Can’t get to the cart without being logged out again over and over

Can’t complete profile

As with others, stuck in that loop of trying to update my profile. It won’t let me continue.

Can’t even register

Stuck in loop to enter my phone number. Page just refreshed every few seconds.

Release with registration bug

Unable to update profile after first registration as it keep refreshing the complete profile page, hence unable to use the app as result.

Grounds app

The app is incredibly easy to use, with a clean and intuitive interface that makes navigating through features effortless.

App is slow. Why can’t this be a website?

The app is slow. Why can’t we just order via website like other places. App seems unnecessary.

Crashing Issues

I can’t click on loyalty without app crashing. I have tried deleting and reinstalling. Only since recent update has this started happening. There is no way to provide this feedback so didn’t know where to leave this.

Unable to open Rewards window

App is keep closing when try to open the rewards window.

Won’t let me sign in!

I want to love this app but can’t. Used it only twice before it logged me out and won’t let me sign in again. Says I can only sign in with fb and then that doesn’t work. I’ve been trying for a few months.

Love this app. Super easy and you can choose a pick-up time! Handy when I know I’ll be running through.
