What I like! What I Don’t
What I don’t like is that I can’t play when I want to play.
I like to play intermediate 10-12 M- W-F.
The problem is that it is fully booked a week or more in advanced. I end up playing outside because I can’t play when I want to play.
I would like to play 8 times a month but I rarely get the chance. This makes it a poor value for me.
I would play 12-2 but it is not available. The Management is considering a 12-2 Low Intermediate but it has not happened yet.
Ironically, the club is over packed between 10-12 and then mostly empty after that.
The big question from my perspective comes down to why can’t I come and play when I want to play?
If all courts are packed then add an adjoining time frame like 12-2 to hopefully relieve some of the demand of 10-12.
Thanks for your consideration. The Club is great except for this really Big problem.
Wack app
Pickleball is supposed to be about community, so I’m paying a monthly fee for something that gives me less access than just having a WhatsApp group with the local public park.
Picklr needs to rethink this approach. Also, why would they be ok with members needing 3 different apps.thats just a poor user experience.
If I could set up group play with other members, I’d happily pay the high monthly membership, but with the constraints I’m not sure I’ll stick around and I’m hearing the same from other members for the club that just opened a week ago.

Waitlist poor
The UI makes no sense
- The main screen is cluttered and is not intuitive to follow.
- To view the calendar, you get a massive grid that you have to scroll ACROSS to track. A list view, with the ability to filter out skill level would make this so much easier to navigate.
- When you want to read the details of an event, you can only scroll so much. You have to release your finger to keep scrolling.
- Why can’t we get app notifications when a waitlist spot becomes available? And even when you click the in your email, it takes you to the mobile web version — not the app. Thus needing to re-login. (While on this topic, magic link button doesn’t work. Nothing happens.)
I hope the Product or UX team sees this!
There’s gotta be a better way right?
If you are using an agency to build this app for you, you might change to a different one. The new UI/UX is terrible too

Glitchy and more glitchy
Buggy App
super slow app compared to competitors
During the daytime, I’ve noticed that most courts are often empty, likely reflecting traditional office hours. If you’re hoping for a game during the day, be prepared for a quieter experience. However, evening bookings tend to fill up quickly, so planning ahead is crucial. Think of The Picklr like a gym; while it aims to sell unlimited memberships, it thrives on player engagement. An empty court is no fun for anyone.
•Suggested Features
While the app excels in performance, there are a couple of features that I believe would significantly enhance the user experience:
1. Calendar Integration: It would be fantastic to have the option to add bookings directly to my calendar, akin to the functionality offered by the PodPlay app. This feature would ensure I receive reminders for my future bookings, making scheduling much easier.
2. Account Management: I’d also appreciate the ability to unlink my DUPR account independently, without needing to reach out to tech support. This would streamline the user experience further. PodPlay has this feature.
In conclusion, The Picklr is a user-friendly app that performs well, and with these enhancements, it could be even better. Highly recommended for pickleball enthusiasts!
