Terrible app

Used to work well, but now it is rubbish. Fix it or I will unsubscribe.

Getting Worse!

A long time ago I loved this app Now I just find it frustrating. I will download a copy of the times using fast internet at home, with the intention of reading during my journey to work. I take great care to ensure it’s completely downloaded before leaving home.
Sadly on my journey to work where the connectivity is poor it insists on re downloading, despite the fact all I wish to do is read the copy I already have. Needless to say it then repeatedly fails as the connection is too slow and refuses to open the edition I downloaded earlier. I can sometimes avoid this by putting the device into aeroplane mode but sometimes this will also prevent my edition opening until I have an internet connection.
It’s an easy fix just add an option in settings not to try auto updating

you also repeat news articles

Still horrendous

Why, oh why did you have do mess around with a perfectly good app? Months on, the new one is still lousy with just too many problems. The experience is still horribly frustrating. I am often tempted to terminate my subscription and start another one with another paper solely because of the app.
Please fix that horrendous app asap.

Good paper, poor app

There is a problem with this app. After the first edition, the paper pushes out multiple updates. After each update, (which can be as often as one every five minutes in the early stages of the paper), the app forces you to download the whole paper again. So effectively you have to do a complete download every couple of articles.

I raised this issue with the customer care team who effectively fobbed me off with a non answer that involved updating the app ( which was not a solution).
