I adjusted temp to 65 and use scheduled mode to schedule when solar was best
I found if you use scheduled mode set each day individually as auto copy did not appear to work correctly, 65 degrees ensured was at 63 enough during the week to not need or trigger anti bacterial cycle
Doing this - mine now works perfectly - absolutely no issues once I followed above

A lack of user controls
Biggest issue with the app OS the lack of user control functions. The antibacterial cycle should be given a time frame as set by the user as to when it starts. Tonight the cycle started at 7pm - right at the peak power pricing and the end of solar generation. Please app developers, give us the option of telling the antibacterial cycle that it can only run between 9am to 4pm for someone that has solar or at other times when the power price is low

Worst app going around. Lost my water heater & now cannot reset or find it on the app. DO NOT BUY A THERMANN

App stopped working
Like some other users, the app was working and then it stopped and I can’t get it working again! I deleted the app and reinstalled it reconnected as per the user manual and still doesn’t work! Using an apple iPhone 15 4G Wi-Fi connection! I even tried an iPhone 13 and it didn’t work. Very disappointed in this app! Recommend people not to purchase this so called “smart” system.

App not working
A few months ago I purchased the smart water heater, set up the Thermann app and all was working, then recently I have lost connection to the app and cannot seem to retrieve or adjust the water heater settings. I have downloaded version 2.34 and still no connection despite version 2.32 allegedly fixing the Telstra 3G disconnection. I have even reset the heater per manufacturer instructions to no avail. How can I get the app working again?

I wish I never purchased this system.
The app is impossible to connect to the system and there is no help available.

The unit sometimes won’t get passed 38degs, even though it’s set to 70degs.
Barely useful
Can’t even figure out how to reach out to support.
App doesn’t allow any changes if there’s an ‘antibacterial cycle’ notification present. Setting the schedule is clunky (having to set every day independently and only being able to choose blocks of whole hours - what if I need it to start at 10.30am?).
Missed opportunity to graph the temperature - would be handy to see change over time!

Disappointed
Got this App when I got a new Thermann hot Water unit. Worked ok for a couple of weeks then it became difficult to logon to and get information. After the update of about a week ago I have not been able to logon to the App at all!
Requests about how long this would be resulted in answers ranging from problem with the telco provider to the App developer is working on a fix. How long does this take? As of the moment I cannot get any information from the App, if it opens or sometimes when it opens it just then reverts back to me having to open it again.
This is very frustrating and annoying.
Just need to know when this will be fixed! The App should be more robust than it is.

Underwhelmed
Love the Thermann smart electric heater connect to my solar PV - but this app looks and works like a prototype written by the work experience kid. Does the bare minimum and falls over and demands re loggin from time to time. I’m sure there must be a more robust and feature rich version coming. Love the smart heater though. Brilliant.

No connection
This app has no support. I get notification that water heater did not respond check wifi. My wifi is fine cannot use app.
