Needs work

The concept is really cool, but the execution still has a long way to go. There are times when my children pick up the phone and there is no dial tone. When I get calls from them, it often sounds like they are super far away or underwater. And the app keeps logging me out and then doesn’t recognize my login information. Overall, still quite glitchy - hoping they continue improving the quality for existing customers rather than focusing on more sales.

App redesign

We’re new to Tin Can but I was surprised to see the app only had 3 stars on the App Store. The app is awesome so far. Setup was really smooth and I love how playful and colorful the setup is. Cheers to the designers on this redesign, I miss when software was actually quirky and delightful to use. Great work!

Going on hour 3 of trying to get working

I think an update occurred that prevents you from seeing any directions on how to set up the phone. The FAQs on the website and the little brochure are the only directions that you have to figure out setup or that I could find. I have a flashing Tinothy button that doesn’t do anything. A dial tone but no actual call through. And I’m assuming if I have an external number in the app, I should be able to just call them?

Glitchy

We just got a new tin can and are excited about it but the app is buggy. we have a request from a friend (which you have to accept to call each other) and it doesn’t do anything when I hit accept. It defeats the purpose of having the phone if you can’t actually allow your friends to contact you.

App won’t complete set up

Have not been able to complete setup. Can’t get past the 911 Activate screen. When attempting to bypass without activation, warning screen comes up but doesn’t scroll to allow to continue. When selecting Activate button, it won’t acknowledge my address. Can’t complete set up for my phone.
