OLOs don’t work
App was working fine, but now order history doesn’t show, points weren’t tracked on, and OLO stopped working so I have to call in or place in person. Tried uninstalling, changing the card on file, checked permissions and turning phone off. Reached out to support and let the restaurant know. Support never replied and no one at the store level knows how to fix. Had the same issue at Urbane Cafe recently too - same exact glitch. Since I didn’t hear from support, leaving this review in hopes someone will fix. Thank you!

Food is great. App can be very clumsy.
Sometimes this app makes me start over with an order simply because I change from delivery to pick up or vice versa. Very cumbersome. Other times it won’t take the order and I have to figure out what the issue is. Should be more straightforward.

Please fix the “order again” error
Super frustrating that for over a month this app has not been working when you go to order history and choose “reorder.” It just prompts you with an “update location” pop up and then clears your cart. I haven’t ordered on the go from here since the update so this is loosing tocaya money at this point.

Why does every other update ruin something in the app…? More specifically, and most often — re-ordering from history. After going through the rigmarole to order (menu/order history/previous/order ####/order again/reorder and update location…) — it just returns a “your cart is empty.” 🤦🏻♂️
Instead of just rushing to fix something else, why not test the app and its functionality, first.

Unstable
This ap is unstable or just doesn’t work. It took multiple times to get my credit card entered. It would let me schedule ahead for the next day.

Great, fresh made food
You can tell they make the food fresh to order because it takes a bit longer to get it. It’s so worth the wait. The wait staff are really friendly here especially Alex. I come here at least once a week. I usually order on the app and it tells me when it’s ready. They always package very nicely. If you want to eat inside it does have a nice ambiance although the music might be a bit loud for some people. I will bring my AirPods if I plan to stay.

Huge bug
When ordering a breakfast burrito, it forces you to select egg type, and the only option is “no eggs”. Can’t even order a breakfast burrito because of this
Had reward but could not use
Had a birthday reward to use from Tocaya and ordered it from the app to then lose my reward. This is the 2nd time I’ve gotten an email for a earned free reward and then when I order it in the app and try to redeem it. The app says I cannot use the reward and then it goes away, like it never existed. Since this happened twice, i have no interest in using the app in the future. Why get a reward and then lose all the progress because of a faulty application. Also tried to use a $10 off reward and redeemed it at the store, to then find out that they wouldn’t accept the reward and take money off my total. They said it would be credited back to my bank account. Which was definitely not the case. These rewards don’t exist, or tocaya doesn’t want me to get free rewards when I’ve spent $$$ hundred of dollars. Why not just go to del taco or chipotle who have better apps and have no issues.

good but can improve
enjoy the aesthetic of the app however it can be slow and too overbearing at times. i don’t like how often there are notifications to add your card details. would want a faster cleaner and less distraction filled interface.

The food’s great but the ordering experience on the app is dreadful and maddening.
Almost choked on a bone
I just ordered a Fajita Del Rey chicken bowl and almost choked on I believe to be a chicken bone! Not good at all, way to ruin my night…
App is too restrictive
They keep making changes to their menu that are less healthy. They deleted their shrimp taco and substituted with deep fried fish and deep-fried mushrooms, tacos, and other similarly lame unhealthy options.
There’s no longer brown rice and they should allow us to build our own bowls and wraps/burritos...
Bring back more fish and seafood options that are not deep fried?!
