Not usable

It would not send a confirmation email so I was never able to,use the app

Internet change messes everything up

I used to love this app. It made life just a little easier being able to control our ac units from work. But, I recently changed internet providers and now nothing works. I have three different units that I cannot get the app to even recognize let alone change the internet connection. Obviously I’ll keep trying but it looks like I’m back in the Stone Age now because these units don’t like Starlinks 2.4Ghz signal.

Completely broken, unable to login

The Apple login function is totally broken. Then when I attempt to manually create a username, it will not send a confirmation email. So there is no way to login to this app right now

Go download NetHome Plus instead

After hours of wasting my time troubleshooting I was about to replace my air conditioner. One last attempt at research showed that there’s a number of apps out there that connect to these ACs. If you’re getting stuck at 99% when trying to reconnect or change your WiFi configuration stop wasting your time with this app and go get NetHome Plus.

Don’t work

Don’t work. It can work but rarely. It says searching for network and nothing happens. If it does work it always loses location and the temp outside shows c not f. And it stops working with the ac. Says it’s offline and you have to reconnect but it won’t let you at all. Freaking useless.

Can’t connect to WiFi on iPhone in 2026

I have a Toshiba window AC I purchased around 2019 or 2020. I tried to reconfigure the WiFi settings for my new place, and the app will not work with a newer iPhone… It cannot scan for local networks, and the setup fails at that step. Completely worthless.

Frustrating!!

While trying to configure the the appliance while setting it up it stops at 99% and then freezes just before connecting to the Wi-Fi. It’s so close but so far and completely frustrating.

Torture! But the Midea app works great for Toshiba AC units

Use the Midea Air app instead. It works great.

The Toshiba AC NA app, on the other hand, is one of the worst app experiences I have ever had. Beyond bad.

I use the Midea app to control four Toshiba window AC units: three 8,000-BTU units and one 12,000-BTU unit. It works great on my iPhone, and I can monitor and control all four units remotely from anywhere using Wi-Fi or cellular service. My Toshiba AC units are installed in separate offices in my commercial office building.

Before finding the Midea app, I tortured myself for a few hours with the dysfunctional, endless-loop setup process in the Toshiba AC NA app. Whoever developed that app should have been forced to use it.

Instead, use the Midea Air app. I believe Midea also makes or supports the Toshiba app for these 2025 Toshiba units, but the Midea app is the one that actually worked for me. It connected easily and seamlessly to my local Wi-Fi network.

With the Toshiba app, you’ll pull your hair out. It first tries to connect to its own temporary network, and then it is almost impossible to figure out how to switch it over to your actual local Wi-Fi network. I wasted about two hours on that before switching to the Midea app.

I also tried the AtHome app because some online research suggested it works well. In my experience, it was also messy and confusing to set up. I wasted about an hour with that one too.

The Midea app was simple. It connects easily, runs multiple units, and works great.

One important setup note: you need to hold down the power button on the Toshiba unit for about 3–5 seconds to put it into pairing mode. Once I did that, the unit connected successfully to the Midea app on my iPhone.

Yes, you can see each unit separately in the app. You can control all the functions and set up schedules for each one.

One more note: don’t put these Toshiba units in Dry Mode unless you have a drain line connected. Dry Mode makes the unit act more like a dehumidifier. Use Cool Mode if you just want air conditioning.

I used these AC units for the entire summer of 2025 in Cool Mode, and I never had water draining out of the back end, which I know others have reported. My guess is that some people may have had their unit set to Dry Mode, which would explain the extra water drainage.

Also, remember that with these indoor portable/window-style units, you need to vent the hot exhaust air out a window. The vent tube kit is included.

I really didn’t want to spend a half hour writing this review, but I’m doing it because I hope it saves other people from wasting hours on Toshiba’s horrible app. Use the Midea Air app instead. Good luck.

Does not work

The app says that it needs to be able to ask for local device permissions on your phone yet does not ask for those permissions so the device can never connect to the Wi-Fi to finish pairing.

Non-functional app

App does not show up in “local network” so i cannot grant it access to the internet.

i can connect to my AC wifi, but after that i cannot connect to my home wifi, Seems that the app is now non-functioning, or at least with my ac which worked successfully for years.

Also the app’s “submit feedback” data cannot send either so you cant even use the app to let them know its not working

READ THIS IF YOUR APP DOESNT WORK

I was having a lot of similar issues to what I was seeing everyone else have in recent reviews. My AC unit cleared its memory and the app doesn’t have the functionality to set it up on Wi-Fi and control it anymore. These AC units are just Midea units that are rebranded. I got the app “NetHome Plus” it’s the exact same app as this one but it actually works!!! Hopefully some of you see this and have your issues resolved!

No Longer Works

I successfully used this app for a few years. Now it won't connect my single portable AC to the home Wifi network. Grrrrr

no wonder cartman didn’t want nothing to do with this brand

I think the actual air conditioner is pretty dang nice. Trying to use the app to turn off the million led lights on it didn’t pan out, when it asked for my WiFi it’s ui is so junky it wouldn’t let me select it. Would up not taking no for an answer and put some black tape right over the lights and called it a night.

“Loved” not so much

Works amazingly but then it deleted my two window AC units and I can’t get them back. I’ve rebooted, restarted, deleted and reinstalled. Nothing. The acs are less than 3 years old but hey that’s life I guess.

Deleted my devices

This app has worked well for me for 4 years but suddenly my devices disappeared and it won’t find them on my network. The only reason this really sucks is that there’s no way to turn the LEDs off on my unit without the app. So my bedroom is brightly lit all night (I’ve taken to wearing a sleep mask) and my dogs think it’s morning and don’t let me get good sleep.

Connectivity Broken

Remote control via WiFi suddenly stopped working. I tried all the troubleshooting steps without any use. This app is useless without it

Needs to be fixed

Doesn’t work anymore. Out of no where all my AC units (3) were removed from my app. I’ve tried several times to reconnect my AC units but it stops at 99%.

Fix your app

My ac completely disappeared from my devices in the app and now I can’t even connect it back

Wifi app

Not sure what has happened but now it won’t let my phone connect through the app to the ac unit

Don’t use

They want too much access they want full access to your photo library. They want your location at all time.
