Missing a Simple Option

I use the app for displaying my home thermostats. Originally, when I opened the app, it went to the landing page of both of my thermostats. Now I first have to tap on Home and then open the thermostats. It’s an extra step which becomes annoying. A simple feature to customize the landing page after opening the app would be great!

Easy to use

This thermostat saves us money and is easy to use. The app can adjust the thermostat anywhere and anytime.

Pretty good, but… They messed it up with the recent “improvements”.

I have one thermostat. When I open the app, I have to click on two sequential icons to get to my thermostat, every single time. Totally unnecessary and annoying additional steps. It didn’t used to be this way. They messed this-up with the most recent update.

Please fix the app. Make it remember I only have one thermostat and when I open the app it goes right to it every time. No extra steps!

Inconsistent

This app randomly decides to not allow me to log into my account and control my thermostat, which is quite unfortunate.

UPDATE: GAVE UP!

UPDATE: Now the app is stuck in a loop and won’t let me back in. There have been NO APP UPDATES & this app definitely needs updating!!! Currently online to purchase different thermostat!!
I just updated the app. Unfortunately, instead of the app opening to the screen where I can edit the temperature, NOW I have to click through MULTIPLE screens just to get to that temp screen. I only have 1 thermostat - Tell me WHY I have to click through multiple screens that show I have only 1 thermostat, just to get to the spot where I can edit the temperature! Highly dissatisfied! If this isn’t corrected, I will find a better thermostat by another company. Such a pain!!

App has stopped working

Won’t let me log in or change password

Does Honeywell do any common sense usability testing? (No)

Do you own multiple businesses and homes with Honeywell thermostats? Me neither. The screenshots above show how clueless Honeywell is about apps. Since a 2025 update, you’re now required to wade through two screens to adjust the temperature on the one thermostat in your one home. Every… single… time. I’ve been using the Honeywell TCC app since 2016 when my new AC system was installed. That change last November was the only significant "improvement" to the app in 10 years. When it’s time for a replacement, I’ll go with a competitor that gets apps. (Honeywell: Don’t bother to thank me for my comment and invite me to call your 800 number for assistance. There’s nothing to talk about. Your app is objectively lame.)

No good stopped working

Don’t use this app the software is always having issues most of the time I can’t long in, developers must be sleeping.

Inconsistent

This app doesn’t work consistently. It will
be off line for upgrades for extended periods of time and it will stop working for no reason. The convenience of controlling from my phone is great when it works.

DO NOT UPDATE

Thanks for the additional unnecessary clicks. The app was functional and served its purpose, but now with the latest update, I have 4 clicks just to get to the same screen I had when opening the app previously. Considering replacing my thermostat to another manufacturer just avoid dealing with this ridiculously unnecessary inconvenience.

Latest update

I have always enjoyed your app. However, I only have one thermostat and with your latest update, I now have to do two more steps just to get into my thermostat. I am not happy.

After the response from the developer, which I appreciate, I hope that they will fix this issue.

Update: back in January 2026 this year I got a message from the developer thanking me for my review and apologized for any inconvenience. The latest update may have caused. Here we are seven months later, and still nothing has been done. I still have two more steps to make just to get into my one and only thermostat.. I am not happy.
In addition to the update, I might as well say this about the thermostat itself. It has always been hard to set anything on the thermostat itself. You have to push buttons several times, to get it to do what you’re trying to set. The touchscreen has always sucked right from brand new.

Connect with my thermostat, room for improvement

This app connects with my prestige IQA thermostat. Allows me to control my heating cooling and dehumidifier. One thing I can’t do on the app is to see the status of ventilation since I have ventilation deducted in my Honeywell dehumidifier, and wired to my prestige IQ thermostat . The app won’t allow me to call for a ventilation boost. I was hoping for ventilation options to be available in the app and linked to Samsung SmartThings so I can call for ventilation if air quality is poor in my house.

Software Issues

There is something majorly wrong with how the app/device communicate. Prime recurring example, I'll set the AC to 73. It will run for 1-2 straight hours with the thermostat staying at 73. As soon as I turn it down to 72, the thermostat will read 72 and the AC will stay on and run for another 1-2 straight hours. Major bug in how the device communicates the blower/AC unit.

App is dated and non-intuitive

We’ve recently purchased a 2-stage AC upgrade which included a Honeywell zone control board, RedlLink gateways, indoor and outdoor sensors, and two new Honeywell AIQ Presige thermostats.

When we purchased our home 9 months ago, it also had a Honeywell Prestige thermostat and we used the same app. It is no better now than it was 9 months ago.

Considering the technology, complexity and price of these components, the app interface is dated and underwhelming when compared to other competitor apps like Ecobee or Nest for example.

The front end is reminiscent of something developed in the 1990s - clunky, non-intuitive, and horrible graphics. How about simply updating the GUI to a giant digital format like Ecobee or Nest and basically every other thermostat on the market today?

Issues:

1. It loses remote connectivity occasionally.

2. It does not show status of 2 stage cooling and heating or provide feedback related to Redlink or sensors or control board.

When can we expect this app to be upgraded to an app reflective of the price and sophistication of the actual Honeywell components?

I hate the inconvenience

I used to like the app, but over a year ago they added 3 layers of stupid menus before you can make a simple temperature change with the iPhone app. Happily they did not add that inconvenience to the iPad app.

Other people have said that they should have an option to have a vacation setting for timetables and temperatures. I agree but I don’t think that will ever happen.

GET RID OF THE EXTRA STEPS!!!

When are you going to update to help all the users with only ONE thermostat!?! Now that you have screwed it up for those users, how about helping us by updating with the ability to set a default thermostat that you land on when accessing the app. This used to be a good quick app to use for adjusting our thermometer. It’s a lousy app now & I hate using it. The extra steps are ridiculous, and our requests for simplicity continue to be ignored.

Old, junky app.

Can’t even get it to work. The registration site barely works on a phone. Looks like it was made back in the iPhone 4 days.

Still Waiting…

Still waiting to fix this app so the other 99% of us that don’t have 2 zones or more than one house can simply boot the app and make an adjustment? Why are we forced to go through which thermostat and where when it’s obvious within the app that there is only one thermostat?

Really? How hard can it be?

Bump! For the 99.9% of us that don’t have multiple zones or houses, this app just got a whole more inconvenient to use. NOW you have to choose which house and which zone you want just to simply to turn the temp up 1 degree. WHY?
This should be part of the config of this app. Need to add another zone or house?, ADD IT! Don’t inconvenience the rest of us for the .025% that MAY have 2 thermostats. Common guys.. FIX THIS! You get one star until it’s fixed

BUMP.. I see others are also complaining about this. When is it going to be fixed?

Feedback

I love the app but has issues where it freezes up. Great wi-fi service with a strong signal. When it freezes up you can select locations and shows an error message;”web service error”. We just delete the app and reselect it on the App Store.

Energy savings event issues

Honeywell tstat will go into an energy savings event, I’ve contacted my utility company and I’m not signed up for anything. No way to disable it, Honeywell tech support is no help, says contract my utility company…
