La aplicación general es bastante buena, no deja muchas cosas en Blanco lo único es el tema de poder programar algunas cosas me gustaría poder programar la llegada a la salida es muy complicado y a veces no funciona. Quisiera probar una cámara se encienda tal hora o se apague tal Laura
Easy to use
I’m not tech savvy in any way and I found the app so easy to use. Nice.
Bloated app almost 1GB
This app is ridiculously large. Why? Inefficient programming and management.

Banner ads
The banner ad at the top loads in just late enough to where every time you open the app and press a light, the whole device list will shift down at the last moment and you’ll either accidentally click the ad or the wrong light

tapo app crashes
I am not sure what is causing the app to crash almost always while i'm using it. it almost makes the app impossible to use for more than a minute and makes impossible to configure devices especially for cameras. it seems to start happening after some major update of the app, and it looks like it doesn't like my old slow phones (apple and samsung).
i am a subscriber for cloud storage for unlimited cameras, and i really liked how they designed all this ecosystem. whoever designed it must be very smart. but ever since this app crash starts happening i'm considering to use less of the app and potentially choose another brand. i could just upgrade my phones, but that's not the answer to solve this issue. this is a major bug of the app. i give 3 stars because i understand as a software engineer how much effort is put on this app. thanks and please fix this bug.

I love their camera. I use it to keep an eye on my turtle outside. It's an amazing camera. I wish it had a rotating option but overall, 4.5 stars! Definitely deserved!

2026.08 update:
Please allow this App on iPad to set customized order of cameras on different rooms. And fix the fact that Favorites and All Devices tabs are the same and they are not customizable. And please allow each camera to display the last event just it does on iPhone version of the same App, on each camera icon.
2026.7 update:
Please fix iPad version, when toggle Pan and Tilt, the floating window that allows me to pick the viewpoint, (1,2,3,4, etc), is blocked by the other floating window of Panoramic view

I wish I can personalize / customize the Favorite tab on the main screen of the App.
I tried long-pressing one device to delete from the favorite tab, but it indeed deleted the device from the whole thing and I had to add it and set it up again. Please allow us to customize which devices I want to set as favorite. There is no difference between the tabs: favorite and all devices. Both are the same!

After using Kasa App, I tried Tapo. I know it is made by the same company.
But Tapo App has more features.
The only 2 things I like more from Kasa:
1. Camera names are sorted alphabetically
2. The latest movement detection is displayed on each camera (on Kasa) as in “00 minutes ago” while on Tapo it is displayed as “13:12” (example time).
2025.9.8 update:
The App allows you to tap and hold each camera and it starts wiggling. Then you can sort according to your preference.
Another advantage over Kasa is that you can choose to record only upon detection that saves SD cards’s life.

Clean up the camera UI
UI is a bit messy for cameras. Also where is the Apple TV app? It’s just a different screen size.. corne on devs

Major issues reconnecting
First time opening the app and viewing a camera works great. But if you leave the app and go back after 30 seconds, it can't reconnect to the camera or display another camera feed. I have to force close the app and restart it to work.
Tapo Works
Got lots of Tp Link Devices and now got 4 Tapo Bulbs. They all work gr8 !
