Load loading times with no indication that it’s loading

Every button press in this app takes multiple seconds before it does anything with no indication that it’s loading or doing anything. Very poor UX

Far too intrusive

Really hard sell to the paid Premium. I only signed up so my running coach can send me workouts. Hate the app. The free Garmin Connect is sufficient for me.

SLOW

Ironically a training app that claims to help athletes achieve their personal best time is frustratingly slow.

Great except..

Please add dark mode!

Love the detail & plans

I had used TrainingPeaks with my previous coach. What I didn’t realise was how I could buy running plans for all kinds of races. Even specific to my ultra marathons. This is what I love versus Runna which I previously used

Zero development

These developers do not make meaningful changes ever. You still can’t edit a workout from the phone in 2026.

Great App

Rating this app because the pop up asking to rate it has an option to never ask again.
Speaks to the culture at Training Peaks.
The app itself is great, I’ve used it for 6+ years now at this point. Does a good job at keeping track of all my training.

How can it get worse?

When you think it’s as bad as it could be, they make the app worse. Now the data is missing from my strength WOs. I don’t l care about sets in TP bc it’s useless in this tool, but I would like to see my HR data that is no longer visible. Worthless app that only serves as a data data repository. Folks, just build your own tool in Claude.

Fantastic for All Levels

I work with athletes at every level from general fitness to race specific prep. As a Sports Nutritionist I also love the interaction with Hexis to help athletes properly fuel for their efforts.

going downhill

i used to love trainingpeaks, but after garmin acquired it, it has been plagued with errors and features that no longer work. shame on you garmin for ruining a good thing. time to check out the apple watch 12 and build my own app using AI.

Good, but not great

Just allow me to customize my plan in the app without having to use a computer and it will be a 5 star experience. I love the app. I don’t love that I can’t use all the features.

Constant crashes

Hard to even keep the app operational on an iPad. Constant crashes

Was ist passiert

Response from developer

Lags

I deleted the app and canceled plan after support was unable to solve the issues.

Previously:
I have the premium plan, and regret the purchase. The app doesn’t sync data from watch/Apple Health: despite all permissions enabled, my Training Insights page simply states “no data.” Have checked everything Support suggested and all my settings are correct. Awaiting further guidance, but am unhappy with this app.

After a workout, I often have to delete the import file and manually re-import it so the data collected actually comes through.

The app lags between five to 20 seconds when switching tabs and/or trying to input information. Adding one simple workout took 10+ minutes as the time between touching the screen and the input box activating took forever, and then the keyboard took 30 more seconds to appear.

Lags

Was a great app years ago. The last few months it lags so bad it’s barely useable. Open, wait to load. Tap calendar, wait to load. Scroll, nope. Wait. Wait. Wait. Ok, now scroll. Trash app

My hot take

So….. the app is super exciting and I think for the people that would use it, would love everything about it….

My qualm is it is super overwhelming with at least to me a limited tutorial and a user friendly detail to help noobies like me understand everything it has to offer!

Excellent

Used Training Peaks for a number of years. Always been reliable and helpful. New features have been added that are good to guide training. Particularly like the addition of the resistance training - would be great if it was able to accept input from other apps as I use Strong at the moment. The website also contains useful training related information.
