Scam
Absolutely terrible service. My ticket was £50.90 but I paid £56.19 to be able to cancel the ticket. I tried to cancel 30 hours before my journey and the app wouldn't let me cancel. So what exactly did I pay the extra £5.29 for?
Don’t use this for splitting tickets
You get a split ticket from this app which saves you a few quid, but you can do so much better if you use other apps and websites. All of them take a cut of the savings, so I assume this one takes a much bigger cut.

Once ui components have loaded (even partially) they should not shift position underneath the user. It causes misclicks and frustration

I went on a train today and for some reason my rail card wasn’t working and I had to go on the train so I booked it at the full price expecting them to give me a partial refund or something but they said there is nothing they could do which is unacceptable bc if my railway card is not working what was the point of paying £80 for three years. Honestly I am highly disappointed

just seen how much ive been paying in admin fees and additional costs. will just be buying the ticket from train company apps from now on
Ticket tax
Don’t use this app, load of fees that are added on every purchase. Almost 10% more with 0 benefits which tbh is a massive fee for not using the rail companies app.
Do better for the fee you charge
It was great to see the new features rolling out which would justify the extra cost of booking through Trainline - except they failed spectacularly when needed.
My train was cancelled yesterday meaning I would miss my connection. No assistance replanning the journey, couldn’t update my journey to move my seat reservation - journey swap just kept taking me in an endless loop of ticket Ts&Cs - utterly useless. No help on delay repay either.
And I can’t move my reservation today - it’s just listed as ‘unavailable’. But it was easy enough in the old version, this new version is a big step backwards and I hope they fix it soon

Stop already!
Recently started absolutely incessant marketing notifications with seemingly no way to switch them off. I don’t want to disable notifications for the entire app as they can be useful during a journey, but at this point it’s that or uninstalling.
No help when you miss a connection
My train was late and as a result I missed the connection but no suggestion by the app for alternatives

Please make it clear on the journey search results page which options involve an e-ticket (good) and which require collecting a physical ticket from the station (and probably missing your train).
