Great App, great HVAC System
It took me a very, VERY short time to get the App and Thermostat synced via WiFi. But honestly I couldn’t have done it with Trane Tech Support. This was by far the BEST, shortest support session I’ve ever experienced. kudos to Trane and Trane Tech Support!

Poor UI design
The app is supposed to allow you to program thermostat schedules. However, the developer has not put much thought into how the end user will accomplish the task. It is extremely difficult if not impossible to program schedules intuitively using this app. Needs a major revamp.
Trane Thermostat
I absolutely love my Trane Thermostat ! It is easy to operate and keeps the house at a perfect temperature for comfort and my pocketbook.

Best real world app
Last night I was in the sleep zone but not quite cool enough so instead of getting up to change the settings on the thermostat I just picked up my phone and changed the thermostat from the convenience of my bed, using the train app and then swiftly fell off to sleep again.
Doesn’t hold temp well
I have the HVAC system set on a hold at 72 degrees and the system allows the temp to go up to 76 degrees before it kicks back on to cool the house down. I would like that to hold closer to 72 not 76. Not impressed. I will never recommend this to anyone.
App is missing filter sizes for reminders
The filter selection for reminders does not support all filter sizes required for your equipment

This connection is an awesome tool to control home temps during the day or night
Can’t update settings
Since issuing this new version/ interface I can not update my schedule. It just times out and I get a notification to try again later.

Not Intuative
The new software does not load existing schedules. Luckily when I was rooting around I found the switch to revert back to the old software which still works. This software is not intuitive.
Forget the new app!
I tried the new app on two systems and on both it didn’t work! The scheduling via the app was the problem. I opted to go back to old app so please do not take away that option!!!

Missing feature
I would have given this a 5 star rating except for 1 feature that is missing(or maybe I just can’t find it). While the filter change reminder is useful, there needs to be a way to tell the system that I changed the filter today. We had some construction in the house over the last 2 weeks. Even though the filter is not due for replacement for another 42 days, it was dirty enough that I changed it today. In 42 days, I will get a reminder that the filter is due for change even though it won’t be due for another 48 days after that. There needs to be a way to manually reset the filter change reminder.
