One of the worst apps I’ve ever used
So unreliable, sometimes it connects and sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes there’s a storm you never set up, and sometimes the lights just don’t come on at all!
Stopped working!!!
This is the second set of lights I have bought and once again, after 18 months they just stop responding correctly via the Bluetooth app. I was reluctant to purchase the same lights twice, especially after my first set performed poorly. However, I put my faith in Tri-Spec as they convinced me the newer versions were better…….we’ll they’re not!! Looks good but they fail to turn in. Yes I can turn them off with the master control function, but then they don’t turn off with the timer either. Also, the light strength is constantly changing by the app after I set it. Complete let down!!

Really poor quality from a company that is supposedly an industry leader. Please respond as I know have some expensive lighting that I now can’t use!! NOT HAPPY.........)

Useless
This controller has a complete mind of its own and can’t be trusted. The timer had never worked, the lights don’t come on at the set time and sometimes don’t turn off. Basically manually turning them on and off via the app is all you have. For a company like interpet I really expected more. The world of apps is not new but this app and or this controller is rubbish. I am so disappointed

App doesn’t connect anymore
So I have had the Tri-Spec 2 for a few years now and I came home to the light being on red, I tried to connect through the app and it couldn’t find the device, I then unplugged and tried again and this also did not work. I then changed the battery in the controller itself and again this didn’t work so now I’m unplugging and plugging back in just for the light.

Terrible App
The unit itself is great as a straight replacement for any Juwel light unit, allowing retro fit straight into position of old lighting unit. App control however is terrible. Literally you unplug the unit for more than a second and it forgets everything it’s meant to do. It’s like playing roulette every time it loses power and has a complete mind of its own for a few days after. Not great when you have CO2 running and rely on a steady lighting unit not to gas the fish. If I had my time again I would go Fluval 3.0 and find a way of keeping the hood with it. Not great InterPet, sort it out!
