I’ve been using TripIt since it started, something like 15 years ago. I’ve been a paying user for most of that time.
It used to be great, but now it’s only okay. TripIt doesn’t update flight schedule changes until two days before a trip, so the airline can dramatically change flight schedules and TripIt will still show the old, wrong schedule until you get within about 48 hours of departure. Since you may be making other plans around that departure time, the lack of updates is unacceptable.
Additionally, I’ve had TripIt data errors where a flight I’ve booked shows up erroneously in TripIt as a codeshare flight on another airline. If I trusted the info in TripIt, on departure day I’d go to the wrong airline in the wrong terminal and maybe miss my flight. I emailed TripIt support and they basically blew me off and said I must be wrong. I’m not wrong, I’ve been traveling almost nonstop for decades and I know that airline I’m flying. I was insulted by their pissy response.
Bye bye TripIt, there are newer and better options out there…like Tripsy… that don’t come with the attitude.
