Dishonest
Really disappointing experience. I was charged for a Wanderlog subscription unexpectedly, and the subscription wasn’t clearly showing in my Apple account, making it unnecessarily difficult to work out what I had been charged for and how to cancel it.
Subscription charges should be completely transparent. Instead, I’ve had to waste time chasing up a payment I wasn’t expecting.
The app may be useful, but this billing experience has completely put me off using it again. Be very careful when signing up for trials or premium features.
Update: Thanks for responding. The issue wasn’t that I didn’t understand Wanderlog had paid features. The problem was that I was charged for a subscription I wasn’t expecting, and it wasn’t clearly appearing under my Apple subscriptions when I tried to identify and cancel it. That made the whole process unnecessarily confusing. I’ve now had to contact Apple regarding the charge. I still think the subscription and billing process could be made much clearer for users.
I was denied a refund on both of my requests. With a cost of living crisis, this is not fair.

Wanderful app
This app made my trip planning so much easier! I didn’t have to switch apps or lose my notes. It helped me keep track of every details.

Charged during free trial
I immediately was charged to my card $20 for the free trial and to try out the “free” upgrade for the pro. Did not expect to get charged for a “free” subscription trial. I’m sure it’s a great app, I don’t think I’ll use it ever again. WILD!
Misinforming travelers; lists open businesses as permanently closed
Wanderlog is publishing false data stating that active, operational businesses (like Biesanz Woodworks in Costa Rica) are 'Permanently Closed' on their curated guides. Support and executive emails are ignored. Travelers are being turned away from real local artisans because of unmaintained automated scraping. Fix your data pipeline.
