Your commercials suck
Like so many others, I absolutely despise your commercials. They are so stupid and repetitive. They’re not at all clever and the actors all have incredibly annoying voices. I will never come ever use trivago because of the intense irritation caused by this moronic garbage. There is widespread criticism of these commercials all over the Internet. Why the hell don’t you pull them?

Scam
Booked hotel, payment taken, no confirmation provided. Called terrible support line, no response to many calls just automated responses. Called hotel to double check, they’d received no reservations. Just book through the hotel directly, don’t chance it.
Overrated
I tried to find somewhere on Manitoulin Island. Trivago has never heard of it. I tried just searching on the word Manitoulin and it matched me with some place in Florida. Previous years, just using Booking.com gave me the cheapest place. Trivago is so overrated.

Poor service
I recently used this app to book a simple overnight stay. The Baymont we booked was on a road that was closed to thru traffic due to construction. We drove out of state for this stay and due to an event in the town there were no other rooms anywhere else available. We ended up driving back home.
Rates are VERY different from reality
I was looking for accommodations in Rome for a few days in August and a Trivago was showing the best deal being through Agoda, C$101/ night breakfast included. Too bad that when I opened the deal, the price was three times as much, C$327/ night. I took screenshots. And I didn’t book.
