The App Ruins my Trivia Night
I don’t mind the concept of app based trivia, but this app has too many UI bugs. The app will hide the submit answer button and cost my team points. On numerical questions it is impossible to use backspace, any slip up renders your answer unusable. The fact that I can’t go back and see the answers to previous rounds is also frustrating. Overall, a very bad app. Would give it zero stars if I could.

Poor Features
They desperately need to update this so you can go back to questions within a round just like you would with pen and paper. Without that it’s a pretty useless app
Submit Button crash
I’ve repeatedly have the Submit button crash and be removed from the screen consistently when I play. It happens so much that I don’t even want to play trivia at my local bar or even use the app. The MC has said to just hit the back button but that doesn’t do anything either! Overall the UX looks nice but the systems in the app crash too much to make it useful.

Worst Trivia App I’ve seen
Don’t understand why you can’t go back and review answers on your own. Very buggy and often blanks out, yet only the team captain can answer. Just not how a trivia app should be designed.

App needs serious improvements
The app constantly kicks people off of the game, including the team captain who has to submit the answers. We had to lose several dozen points due to reassigning team captain several times, and it ruined what was supposed to be a fun experience for friends. I disappointedly come back to the app each week to play, and never leave in a pleasant state. Surely this is not what Triviamatic has in mind for their customers.

Eh. Not great. Needs improvements.
Eh. It’s a good app if they could enforce cheating. I love bar trivia, but when it’s on an app and everyone around you is just using Google for answers it’s not as fun. Was winning for 4 rounds. Lost in round 5 due to two tables looking up answers and coming back from a 30 point deficit to win. Never seen that happen before in quizo. Still fun, but not legit and if you’re not cheating you will not win. Just accept your loss to people looking to steal your win.
Like I said, still fun, but you will not win unless you cheat - so go ahead and cheat so it forces the devs to implement some sort of anti cheat system. Not as fun as it would have been.

Every time the games asks how many players are in the team, the app locks up and we can’t progress until the bonus round is done. Which means we lose out on a while set of questions. Please get rid of this screen. Once the game has begun there shouldn’t be any other questions other than trivia questions. Please fix this!

As a host this app has made my job a million times easier!
Accessible and getting better
Great for the hearing impaired or in other situations where the trivia host is hard to hear clearly such as outside of the main trivia room.
Have noticed a few bugs with the app in the past but recently these are getting a lot better! Makes grading each round of trivia much faster as well!

Straight up doesn’t work
Was unable to log in for the entire first round, when we were finally able to log in, we were mer with the message “connection issues” each time we tried to submit an answer, and none if the answers were recorded. Waste of time.
Makes trivia so easy!
I LOVE the TriviaMatic app. As a host, this app makes my job so incredibly easy. From questions to scoring I can’t say enough of how much a game changer this app is. And every week it gets better and better.

I was leery of the idea of an app for trivia since I’ve been to the same venue for years and did pencil and paper. Now I’m a host and have learned to love it and so have my regulars!
It’s nice that folks can read the questions along with hearing us hosts. It increases accessibility for different audiences and helps reduce drunken questions ;)

Great app
Makes hosting so much easier, it’s intuitive and allows more for player interaction and cohesion. Playing is also easy, and I’m very glad the music round is back!
The worst
Been to a few live trivias that use apps, this one is by far the worst. No timer, questions just disappear. No way to go back to questions you wanted to think about. Only one person per team can put an answer in. I'd take a pen and paper over this garbage any day. Just no thought put into the UI or UX. Would rather skip trivia than use this app again.

Not for me
I listen to trivia podcasts while I am driving or at work. Both of those times, I do not have the option to listen and interact on my device simultaneously. And the one time I set aside to setup an account on the app and listen together, I found myself just answering the questions on the screen which made listening to the podcast obsolete. But it works fine for those that like playing/listening.
I prefer just listening to podcasts and guessing with myself or my family in the car. They now have my email and can send me ads, well done.

I love pub trivia and I love that we can play in an app - so much easier for the players and the host I’m sure.
However the iOS version of this app is still not quite where it says it should be. If I’m logged in, I can’t use the main app features like playing on a team or checking out my profile and history. (If you’re having a hard time: log out and try your action without being logged in. It tends to work for me.)
I’m sure the team is working on it and I’m looking forward to the app fully operational again.
