Best pump
I’m loving the pump. The app has obvious things I had asked Dexcom for like the last updated time on the widget.
Some things I’d like to see:
A function to add short notes which would be printed on daily reports. This would be good for noting things such as the infusion set came out, you were sick, you had a steroid injection, etc.
an “emergency contact” that gets an automated phone call if your blood sugar is dangerously low and you don’t respond to the app in X minutes. I live alone and would like someone to be notified, but I don’t want them to have access to any of my data. I would get nagged non stop.

The sounds are ear piercing, stay away
I have all alerts disabled on my phone but then the pump itself starts making noises (which you can’t control) and it’s every 12.5 seconds(I timed it) and the shrillest horrible sound. They must have never had real people test this who have jobs or who ever drive a car. My blood pressure is likely up about 30 mm Hg due to how angry I get when the pump is terrorizing me.
-this is my second time writing this review as I must’ve used too foul of language in the first review. I still feel just as angry, I just toned it down so other people can be warned away or this dim witted company can change the sound. They allegedly already updated the pump once to deal with the noises but fixed nothing.
-besides the sounds the pump is similar to the tandem X2 but a bit lighter and uses changeable batteries instead of the pump being rechargeable. The other problem is it is fragile and I am on my second twiist pump in two months and the cheap plastic clip broke a while ago so I have to keep it in my pocket.

Allow users to change the alarm
The fire alarm alert sucks. It’s always sucked and continues to suck. It sucks coming from the twiist pump and it equally sucks from the phone. It scares my dogs and my kids. I turned off critical alerts and all alerts from the app just because it’s so bad.
Let users choose their own alert for different instances- high glucose can have a chime, lower glucose a different setting but for every darn alert to be the dang fire alarm… really ??? That’s just bad design and I bet most users just turn off notifications. Choice is good so please give users a choice.

League of its own
I’ve used 2 other pump systems over the last 20 years. One tubed and one tubeless. Each required me to “lie” to my pump to get a chance at control. Twiist is the opposite. The algorithm has allowed me to move from an avg A1C of 7 down to nearly 6.0! I only have to enter meal bolus or exercise periods into the app. Not 10-12 times daily as with previous pumps. Add to this Apple Watch control, adjustable alarm volume, and predictive glucose trending and the Twiist system, for me, is truly head and shoulders above other systems.

Many problems.
Massive problem with blocked line alerts coming through with every single one of the infusion sites I’ve used. The app then takes FOREVER to reload the functionality so I’m sat there like a moron refreshing the page 20 times in a row so I can be able to eat my lunch without going to 250. Infuriating that there isn’t a timeline for a new infusion set that actually works or any support on how to use the Cleo without constantly getting blocked lines. The only support they provide is replacements which doesn’t help the problem of not being able to dose insulin EVERY SINGLE TIME I put an infusion set on.

The Greatest App ever!!!
I love this app. My partner has the app. We are both Diabetics. I’ve been on, Tandem and Omnipod 5. They worked well, but this pump wow!!! Amazing. We can’t still talking about it WOW!!!
Loop is awesome
The pump is a big step forward. Being able to basically leave my diabetes to loop itself is amazing compared to some of the competition is great. Except for meals I haven't had to significantly bolus for any amount, as the basal rate adjustment takes care of most of the changes happening day to day.
Also the carb tracking in the app with carb timing is a wonderful feature that's also very helpful with tracking not only what I eat but how much is bolused.
There's some improvements that could be used for the app, I wish y'all had iOS lock screen widgets, I miss being able to glance at my phone screen to see my bg. Still overall fantastic pump and app.

Blocked lines and poor UI make it a hassle to use
I have used this since Nov. 2025 and have had constant blocked line alerts overnight. It has been infuriating waking up almost every single night to at least one sometimes two or three alerts. I then struggle to stay awake because of the tedious process of waiting for the pump to perform a self test and wish that it could be automated with a single button or even just test on its own without sending a blocked line alert.
The alert for blocked lines is insanely sensitive and is ruining my sleep and keeping me high overnight because if I forget to restart the basal there’s no alarm for the pump being disabled

Great Pump
The twiist aid system is great compared to all other FDA approved systems. They still need a lot of improvement but still great! Some changes that i would love is that the watch should talk directly to my pump even if I’m not next to my phone. The number on the watch should update and not have a delay (which is very dangerous)

Good pump good app
It has everything that I would need except you should be able to tell the pump that you had a site failure so I knows you don’t get the bolus that way it can adjust the basal accordingly
Clueless
I can’t believe with this recent update that they eliminated the quick start feature from the pump button. It also functioned as a bolus button. WHAT IN THE WORLD WHERE THEY THINKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After 10 months they still haven’t come up with a different infusion set!!!!!!!!!!!! The Cleo SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m one who needs the steel sets, but they can’t be bothered with minor issues like that!!! As soon as Medtronic releases their new

Dynamic Scaling
Why does the Glucose chart no longer dynamically scale? I don’t understand why the other three charts on that screen do but they stopped it on the Glucose chart. It is now hard to see large swings in the forecast. I don’t need to see 350 on the chart when I am in range (which is now a thin line on a chart with a scale of 350).

Pros and cons
Pros:
-I love the pre-meal and workout presets.
-I love the option to indicate what glycemic index you’ll be eating. It takes the guesswork out of extended boluses.
-I really appreciate being able to adjust the amount of carbs entered into the system after finishing my meal.
-The time feature on the bolus screen is awesome!
BG target ranges are amazing. I think this will be a game changer, especially for fasting vs. fed BG targets.
-I like that you can bolus from your watch.
-The weight of the pump is so light compared to the t:slim X2 pump. I love it. The height is comparable to the t:slim X2, and the diameter is about 2/3 the size of the t:slim screen. It fits in my pocket without weighing down my pants. I can also wear it in my bra without there being a visible rectangle like the t:slim.
Cons:
-Alerts sound like fire alarms; please let us choose the tone, volume, etc.
-I wish I could see my glucose reading on my watch without clicking into the Loop icon.
-Twiist is not supported on Apple Watch if you want to customize the interface color to anything other than the default colors.
-Please create a widget for Twiist on the phone.
-The follow app, “Insiight,” does not allow family members to receive glucose alerts for their loved ones.

Needs many improvements
Agree with other users. We need a widget and a way to customize the horrible alarms. The information on the Home Screen of the app feels bizarre and useless in a lot of ways. I need be able to know my time in range without logging onto a desktop app. So far this is feeling very clunky and not at all user friendly regarding the things I actually need from my system.

Overall great but still several issues
The Twiist pump is pretty incredible, with new technology and a clear focus on actually helping type 1 diabetics. However, there are still several issues that need to be addressed, and I hope they do so quickly. For one, I agree with other reviewers about the alarm sounds. They are SO excessively loud and obnoxious and cause real problems in a professional setting with no option to mute or at least turn to vibrate. The pump connection to tide pool is abysmal. I can’t believe they allowed the pump to go to market without ensuring that tide pool was ready to support this system. Even the mobile website doesn’t work, and the desktop is constantly missing data. The issue with the Cleo not adhering to your skin without the use of skintac is another big one. If this is ongoing, they need to include skintac with the refill kits. And finally, the clip. It is completely worthless and doesn’t stay clipped to ANYTHING. It makes wearing the pump pretty obnoxious.

Amazing AID- fix alarms!!
As I have previously wrote- the app is awesome - the product is amazing. However you are tethered to it and have no option to silence change the dam alarm which sounds like a fire alarm. It scares my dogs, it’s annoying to everyone around me and makes life with the thing so frustrating!!
Fix Alarms!!! Let users silence them and definitely let us pick the tone because yall created the absolute most annoying sound possible

Signal Losses
I know I just started but it is giving me a lot of signal losses with the Libre 3 Plus and I am next it my phone.
Best “first release” app ever?
App works great with the twiist pump, phone and Apple Watch. Incredibly intuitive interface and very reliable. No superfluous clicks like other pump apps. For the first release it’s unbelievably good. Of course, there are lots of ways it could be improved in time. 1. Allow realtime export to Nightscout (so we can use bedside monitors, etc). 2. More customization with alarms… need to be able to snooze, and get additional alerts like “going low soon”. 3. Add widgets, Dynamic Island, and live activities… Those are my top 3 feature requests. I’d love to join a beta for this app. :-) given how early in the development this app is, it’s totally worth a 5 star rating. Hoping it improves in time to be even better.

Change alarm sound/sensor options
The app itself works great, my issues arise from the sound when you have urgent lows. It sounds like a fire alarm in your pocket and there is no changing it. It makes being diabetic much more obvious to everyone around you. Additionally, we need a different sensor as the freestyle libre alerts you as low (below 59) but hours later when you check, the actual value at the report time is in the 70s. If these two things can be fixed, then this is an elite system
