Great throttle controller, accelerates a lot better, throttle is a lot more responsive, would have been a 5star if was able to control app on my Apple CarPlay instead of having to change. It on my phone

Amazing device, easy install and instant response. Just needs that CarPlay feature.
Lacking in features and quality.
The positive is, it always seems to connect quickly and properly.
The downside with the Ultimate 9 App is it seems to fail to meet the quality of the product itself. The App feels featureless and cheaply made.
There is no ability to use with Apple Car Play.
Also no Ability to customise interface. For example having only the 3 drive modes I use on the dashboard and making them large / uniquely coloured buttons for ease of selection.
Would be nice if the app also had quick access to the writen explanation of what each specific mode is useful for. For example: “Launch Mode: Improve those takeoffs with controlled, maximum throttle enhancement. Launch Mode's initial response is modified compared to Ultimate9 mode to try and reduce wheel spin & increase traction”.
A map of how each mode shapes the throttle input curve.
Would be awesome to have an ability to create a custom drive mode and shape the throttle curve myself, set minimum and maximum throttle percent etc.

Just installed the EVCX into my 2020 Amarok today. The controller is great but the app needs some tweaking I think.
I use an IPhone and it would be nice to have the option in the app to keep the phone from locking while the app is running.
My controller is not mounted to the front of my dash. It would be absolutely awesome if the app could be controlled through Apple CarPlay on the head unit of my car as it would make it legal to operate whilst driving. This would help you guys sell more units I believe as it is something other manufacturers don’t offer.

CarPlay needed
Great app, great bit of kit. Ultimate 9 would corner the throttle controller market if they would add CarPlay. It’s screaming out for it. PLEASE U9 - develop it!!

Only improvements would be making it CarPlay compatible and to also make it work in landscape mode on phone.
Great App, could do with a couple of extra features.
App works great and doesn’t miss a beat. Much easier than having to try and use the unit itself. Would be handy tho if you could make it work with Apple CarPlay so there isn’t a need to touch your phone while driving.

Hi. I l recently bought the EVCX for my Amarok.
Awesome piece of kit. I really like it. There are two improvements that would make it much better though.
1 - The App. I am using an Iphone and the screen locks while the app is open so I cannot really use the app to switch between modes while driving. Obviously the phone is mounted and not held in my hand while driving.
2 - There should be an option to reorder the sequence that the modes are listed on the device. For instance, I like driving on Factory but want to switch to Adaptive/Ultimate when I need to overtake. I need to cycle through many modes to get to the right mode for overtake whilst taking my eyes off the road. If I could reorder the sequence so Adaptive/Ultimate 9 follows directly after Factory it would make it much better and safer to use.

After 6 months, so far so good
Got the module for my 2022 4Runner. After installing it I removed the USB mini module interface and have strictly been using it via the app. There have only been a handful of times it didn’t connect from my phone, but did so after closed the app and opened it a 2nd time. Overall been happy with app and and device.

Easy to use, no wires or bulky units to mount anywhere, change throttle response on the fly. Excellent customer support!
Smaller screen, can’t pair BT
I have an iPhone 7. When trying to pair with my BT evcX, the “Determine” button is off the screen. I can’t scroll or pinch the app to view it.
