Close!

I just came back to this app after a year or so away. The sound on the ‘out breath’ hold cuts off abruptly and really disrupts my flow. I’d ask that this be fixed. Navigating to the settings is a little clunky - I mash the interface until it eventually seems to take me to the page where I can adjust the desired breath pace. Amazing tool. Awesome company. This version needs some work.

Has Potential, But Not There Yet

The waveform is cut off at the end of the out breath hold. Causes a pop and noticeable audio jump to the in breath portion. As others have mentioned, this works against the meditative experience.

Sounds like this happens because the out breath hold is queued too late. App developers need to jump back in the code and move the fade-in up a half or full second.

Disappointing because I have been enjoying the Unbeatable Mind challenge. Until this is fixed, I recommend finding another box breathing app.

Great idea, terrible execution

Firstly, $10 for a basic counter app is a lot. But worse, it's really not optimised well. There's an audio glitch with the voice (Which is really harsh and artificial for a meditation app) talks over itself as it doesn't have enough space to say the words. There is a second audio glitch on the music (Which you can't turn off) where it cuts itself off and audibly glitches at the end of every round (16 seconds). Even basic user testing would have caught this.
